Eli would be truckin' linebackers all over the SEC - lol

It depends on how spring camp goes.

Anthony Richardson is a freak of nature and often couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with his throws.

True... but what if?? I can't help but pull for the guy. I want whoever gives us the best chance to win, but I'd love to see Milroe's acumen catch up to his physique

I would too. But in watching he and Simpson it's clear that Ty is the natural thrower between the two. Plus Ty has underrated athleticism. I'm not pulling against Milroe because he has NFL ability as an athlete. He will test off the charts at the combine when/if he gets invited.

Negative article is a method media use to drive interest and participation. Positive Bama articles aren’t as engaging. But negatives get the other fans chirping and the Bama fans defending. Perfect storm of exposure for the media.

I wouldn’t be surprised if both qb’s have a 1a-1b role against MT the first game to see who will be the starter after that.
But I do see packages put in play for Milroe’s talent even if Ty wins the job.

The last time we saw Milroe in a real game situation against A&M last year he turned the ball over half a dozen times and nearly had turnovers several other times.
The Saban loyalty program in full affect. Didnt he also say that he was nervous during the games?

You can’t let the QB competition play out first?

Star Jackson should be the starter. His talent is phenomenal but Saban isn't going to let that happen.

Just me but i saw enough last year. Maybe he can make a big improvement tho who knows.

I believe he used the term “anxious” but basically yeah. Sounds like Milroe couldn’t get out of his own way and sometimes it takes an extra year or even two to get to the level we expect out of a starting QB for Bama
Jalen wasn’t all that different his first couple years, he just had Kiffin/Sark and first round WR talent to help scheme away from his weaknesses

Does anyone recall what Blake Sims looked like through an entire spring camp? One of the worst A-Day performances I can recall. And he ended up being a pretty solid QB in 2014.
Derrick Henry, Amari Cooper, and Lane Kiffin aren’t walking out of that tunnel in September either

None of those people threw the ball for Blake Sims, he did it for himself. He threw a good deep ball, and his elusiveness compared to our prior quarterbacks was startling. Jalen Milroe may or may not show the improvement that Blake Sims made, we'll see. We have spring and fall to find and develop a good starting QB. I'm hopeful that Tommy Rees can have a positive impact on all our QB's, and offense in general.

Henry wasn’t the primary RB in 2014 and we sure as hell didn’t know what we had in him at that point.
I’ll give you Amari Cooper. He was already established going into 2014.
Lane Kiffin was still a laughing stock at this point in 2014.
