You’re not alone in that thinking, but yourself and many others seem to not understand or forgetting a critical part of this plan.
We could have approached it with a scorched earth mindset and laid waste to everything. Power Plants, Water plants, Food Warehouses and anything that supports way of life survival and crushed that country into oblivion which would have caused catastrophic damage and massive death toll within two weeks or even sooner.
How would you view that or the world for that matter. Instead we’re trying to save as many lives as possible and at the same time eliminate and kill the root of the problem which is the leadership from top to bottom and cause the regime to collapse on itself. That takes a little longer to do then the scorched earth plan which would have been extremely easy to do.

agree with a few of the above posters. I feel like this offense has hit it's ceiling without a legit BIG MAN. Hell, even as much as Sherrell has improved this year he spends as much time at the top of the key as he does inside. It's like we play with 4 guards and one center. I don't GAF if a real power forward or legit center can hit a 3. This team needs a Charles Oakley type of inside man that will rebound like a mad man and maul your arse if you come inside HIS paint. I'm not downing Oats and this team probably over achieved, especially given that we lost 17 ppg when we needed it most. I hope Nate retires here because when 3s are falling and the boys are defending we can beat anybody. However, when they are not we can lose to anybody because the current structure doesn't give you a backup plan. Be interesting to see what the roster looks like next year because half of the roster isn't legit SEC caliber players and we all know that. Roll Tide. It was a damn good year considering what Nate had to work with.
I think you make some good points. I think Nate’s system works well to a degree, but if you look at the teams that go deep in the tournament on a consistent basis they all have one thing in common 90% of the time.
They’re big and physical and athletic and they dominate the inside on both ends of the court. It’s been this way for along time and it’s not going to change for good reason.
Nate has Bama to where they can advance to the bracket of sixteen consistently now, but beyond that to the brackets of 8,4 and the championship game he’s going to have to get more physical dominance on the inside to match these same type of teams.
And I’m not talking about players that are 6’10”- 7ft that weigh 230 that looks like beanpoles. Players that have some muscle mass and the attitude to own the paint. It’s the one area thats stopping him from advancing deeper in the tournament imo.

I watched the SJ/Duke mainly and that’s the best game I’ve seen so far to me in this tournament. Ppl can say what the want about Petino, but he’s still one of the best basketball coaches in college, maybe top 3 all time. Guy gets maximum effort out his players at every position.

Oats is a great coach but I want to know what he does that kills any energy we have coming out of the half. This didn't look like a team fighting for their season at all in the second half. It was horrible.
Michigan had a lot to do with that. First time I’ve seen Michigan play and their the totally package. Big, strong, physical, athletic. They’re just a better talented team is all. Not surprised if they win the tournament.
I don’t believe a IQ test can rate low enough for that guy. Something along the lines of a brain function test as in he has just enough brain function to let him know to breathe. That’s about it.
More than likely we’ve had Force Recon Units on the ground for quite sometime gathering intel in key areas. Them boys can be in your backyard and breaking in your home for days and you would never know they was around.
You can gather only so much information and intelligence from the sky, you still need special operators gathering real time data on movements, patterns and routines.

How the Refs call this game plays a factor. I’ve not watched Michigan play this year but I figured they have good size and are physical in the paint and probably aggressive on defense. How aggressive the Refs allow the game to be could favor Michigan, idk tho we’ll see.
I would assume they will try and contest Bama’s strength shooting outside. If I remember right they do have a monster as a center over 7ft I believe. Probably will be a challenge driving the lane against him.
Oats demeanor seems a little different to me in this tournament especially after beating TT at the post game press conference. Looks more comfortable and relaxed. Made the point how they was zeroed in and got lost in just playing the game and not worrying about making mistakes and playing unselfish. Seems to feel good on how they’re playing right now. I believe Nate has done great job as far as the team not putting pressure on themselves to win. Just fine that line on the race track and haul arse.

Maybe I’m wrong but you might be missing the point. It’s not about being overly hyped about beating TT, it’s the point for a lot of ppl that’s waited a long time to see the BB program reach this level of success.
If you want to compare success too Michigan or Duke or Carolina or several other programs that’s won probably the hardest championship in any sport then no, they haven’t. But I see no reason to criticize the success they have had or shite on ppl’s parade for being optimistic about this teams chances to beat Michigan and advance to the next bracket of 8. It’s what this tournament is all about for teams like Bama with the right coach and players in place to have the opportunity to do that and make history.
If you’re truly a fan of the BB program and its successful past history and it’s had a very respectable history then you should be equally or even more excited to where Nate has and is taking the program now. And if somehow Nate can win a championship then he’s built and crafted something very very few coaches have done from scratch. Build a program into what you envisioned. That’s very rare. Be happy, they have as good a chance as any team left.

This will always be Trumps legacy. Every president has an iconic moment in which defines him. This was the moment for Trump, that image alone captures everything what America is about for the past 250yrs.
It’s something the far left has no understanding of what it actually means to be an American and the pride that comes with it.
Keep giving them billions and apologize for being white Colonizers and Christians. The Book of Barry.

Glad to hear you got off the painkillers, that’s not an easy thing to do.
This threads been like a drunk driver hitting a bong driving from Tuscaloosa to Jasper on the 69hwy. To many sharp curves and trying to keep it between the RC signs and the road with deer jumping out at every curve.
It’s went from a basketball player getting busted with a shite ton of weed to pot heads trying to convince alcoholics that it’s better to be fricked up as a rat on decon than drinking a case of beer and hitting shots of wild turkey and going out and showing your arse at the local watering hole feeling 10ft tall and bulletproof to shitty west Alabama narcotics agent then hanging a left to talk about Californias economy to Alabama’s backassward way of life. I’m just waiting for someone to get aliens involved at this point.

Enlighten us with your expert analysis on what seems to be broken and how they should fix “ole expert of fricked up athletic departments guru”
I think at this point the Israelis intel network inside Iran has been nothing short of a death sentence for Irans top officials.
Plus it’s becoming more obvious they also know where everything is hidden including secret bunkers, caves etc.
It’s like they knew everything move Irans top officials was going to make before they knew what to do. Just baiting them to go exactly where they wanted to go and death was waiting on them.

It seems to you can’t handle losing to well. But you’re not alone in that regard.
Oats is the best basketball coach the university has ever had and I believe his record proves that.
shite happens… I’ve seen some of the best teams in the country get beat by cupcakes. It’s basketball and loses like that happen to the best of coaches. This team has nothing to be ashamed of. This team still can make a deep run in the tournament.

It’s a trifecta the way I look at it. Venezuela, Iran and now Cuba is about to bend the knee. All three of these countries are about to be taken off the chess board for China.
If this happens it’s going to cause major damage to the Chinese goals in the not so distant future.

It’s not even close.
