Saban said same thing?
Saban supposedly told some reporter recently that he / Alabama had planned to be aggressive in the portal this spring before he decided to retire, but I don't know if he identified specific position groups as targets. And of course any position targets lik...
I can't believe they don't list o-line as possibilities. Especially if Brailsford is not around.
Rodak did address that a bit; he said he's taking DeBoer at his word that Brailsford will be available in the fall. He also said Brockermeyer has done well this spring and has earned ...

The 3-Man Front folks on WJOX talked with Mike Rodak, the beat reporter for 247, earlier today. A few tidbits: - He expects all four quarterbacks to stay at Alabama. - Said anywhere from three to eight players could portal out, but didn't name anybody specifically (although he alluded to Tony M...

One of the best thread bumps I've ever seen on this site. Well done, sir. ...
Two things about that catch: 1) Milroe threw over the middle on a checkdown! 2) Holy cow, that was a terrible throw over the middle!...
If Brailsford is missing multiple practices, then my scenarios / suppositions fly out the window. Can't justify that. On the positive side, if Brockermeyer has progressed, that's all to the good. ...
Guesswork....you mean like your entire summary?
Definitely. As I said, I have absolutely no information on any of this. Along those same lines, I haven't seen anything concrete from anybody else, either. The one solid piece of information (I think) is that Brailsford didn't s...
Any other rumblings on this Brailsford situation?
I'm not sure it's actually a "situation." Brailsford apparently didn't scrimmage last week, but to my knowledge no reason was ever given. For all I know he had the flu or something temporary. I think it's ridiculous to believe h...
Anything less than 10 wins is a failure season. Is this consensus of the board?
I can't speak for the board as a whole, but in my opinion, there's just too much uncertainty around the team to really know what to expect. In theory, having a returning QB would be a huge positive....

I think this team going forward is going to require a mindset-revamp, at least for me. For the past 30+ years, our successful head coaches had a defensive background and mindset. When we won, it was primarily because of a suffocating defense and an efficient (sometimes high-performing) offense. ...
The reality is that probably fewer than 5% and maybe fewer than 1%, of Alabama fans rely on the radio call as their ONLY source of information during games . There hasn’t been an Alabama football game that wasn’t broadcast on TV somewhere, somehow pretty much since the Shula era.
W...
CTSN could have just told him, "Hey...we're not renewing your contract in June. Thank you for everything you have done with us but we've decided to go in a different direction."
There's apparently a ton of outrage (from Eli and others) that he was asked to remain with CTSN in a lim...
Advertising sure hasn’t suffered!!! Sponsors are still lined up hip deep to run commercials during our games. But isn’t the REAL “Bottom Line” Wins and Losses?
Advertising hasn't suffered because it's the University of Alabama. We didn't have to scrounge for advertising during the ...
Eli said himself he wanted to have a full final season (2024) and retire but they wouldn't hear it. This certainly doesn't look favorably on the University.
Eli said himself he wanted to work another 10 years. To me it looks like the University wanted to work with him, but he r...
On WJOX this morning Greg McElroy seemed to imply that Chris Stewart was being offered broadcasting jobs by other universities, and the UA administration had to decide whether to make him the lead broadcaster or lose him entirely. They chose to elevate him, which (if all this is true) I think was ab...
I love this logo; I became a fan in the early 70s, and this logo coincided with my interest in the Tide and one of the greatest runs in our history. Having said that, I honestly don't think it will translate well as an on-field image. Apparel and such -- no-brainer. Hardwood (basketball) should ...
I have maintained for more than a decade that Eli wasn't a good play-by-play announcer. It was very frustrating to listen to his call of a game as the only source of information. Due to his health issues and his inability to travel last year, I assumed he was retiring. I'm a little baffled that ...
Eric Wolford badly underperformed in his time at Bama.
I don't know very much about the offensive line and coaching, but I thought Wolford did pretty well considering what he was given. Our line performed much better in 2023 as a unit once Jaeden Roberts took over the right guard ...
If I don't see a daily tweet of Grubb eating a danish with a script A on it, I'm assuming the worst!
How about a cinnamon roll? Would that suffice? ...
