Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports reports that LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels is expected to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.

Daniels, a redshirt junior from Lilburn, Ga., transferred to LSU last offseason from Liberty.

He started in 10 games this season, catching 42 passes for 480 yards and zero touchdowns, and battled a foot injury most of the season.

His 2024 stats at LSU were a significant drop off from 2023 at Liberty, where he caught 55 passes for 1067 yards and ten touchdowns.

LOL - Roster is crumbling before our eyes

It’s insane that it’s happening in front of our eyes, yet so many refuse to accept it. Next years team will be worse than this years team, and the volume and quality of transfers and de-commitments is very alarming. The program could actually be crumbling in real time.

Daniels leaving is disappointing.

Some of yall are melting about a WR that didn’t have an impact this year.

Does this mean that Nuss has decided?

This is the most alarming thing I’ve seen. Unless it’s about money.

UTw or ATM lock. Probably a new OC coming in as well.

You’re a moron. This one hurts. We need him.

I know Key liked this guy because he’s a solid blocker so he definitely didn’t want to lose him. Just further shows me Kelly doesn’t have control of this program.

No coach does. Have you seen the amount of kids that hit the portal every year?

I read that in 2023, about 2,700 footballers hit the portal, and only 60% found new places to play. About 1,000 were not selected to play anywhere. A brave new world.

Not necessarily a CJ faithful but the optics of what could be going on is of concern

hmm, sort of telling where Nuss is on his decision then. WR1 was wide open, unless…

Transferring needs to be limited to a one time thing. Not an annual free agency opportunity.

Or just make it the way it used to be where you had to sit a year. That would cut down on transfers.

I thought there were already whispers of potentially happening..? Not surprised. More balls for Trey’dez and Big Pimpton.

Last week he said he was coming back. They're learning this shitt from coaches...lie until the taxi comes for ya.

Will this be another NIL excuse or are people going to realize BK isn’t a guy people want to play for. Especially when we’re mediocre

So…. The 50+ other guys don’t mean anything? Just the one that leaves is evidence of kids wanting/not wanting to play for Kelly? That doesn’t make any fricking sense

That's a loss, no other way to say it. Hope they can talk him into coming back.

This is what you get with mercenary players. No loyalty. He is looking for another big check before he leaves college.

Is this a “hard” transfer portal move, with no chance of coming back or a “soft” transfer portal move to look for more money but possibly come back……
