Yep, it is all about winning 2 of 3.
My favorite, because I was listening on the radio at the time is.....Walk it offfff Tommy White.....
Pretty sure it did open early June last year and the year before. Zac Cowan committed to LSU mid-June.
Good take and I agree. It seems we throw these guys mid-week and they are in the strike zone most of the time. I know it is different competition, but the command is there, Then, they come into an SEC game, and cannot seem to find the plate. You can see the arm talent. Wondering if a lot of it is mental.
I agree about the 4 arms, but the bullpen issue is an inability to throw strikes. People can blame Yeski, but dang, throw strikes. And I am not talking about nibbling corners and not getting calls. I am talking about balls hitting the back stop, hitting batters, etc. How do you get this far in your baseball carreer, and you cannot throw strikes?

They are so worried about getting their next question in, they probably don't even listen.
I think it will depend on the score. Is it close (for or against), is it 6+ (one way or the other)? It is all about winning 2/3. Sweeps are nice, but the number is 2. Just like this series. Regardless, there will be a multiple arms game because these other guys have to get it right.
I agree. The walks and HBP are what kills. We got away with it with other teams, but TN took advantage. You can see the talent, just get it to the plate. Schmidt's command is way off though. I didn't expect that.

I was thinking the one Mouton was the longest.

Word is he wants to play college ball with his kids.
I think Williams could be a 6-7th rounder, and probably make a roster because of his pass blocking ability (his all around blocking ability too). Prototype "3rd down back".
Cowan could be a great Sunday starter, but then you lose a huge bullpen piece. Honestly we have 4 pitchers than can be relied upon. The rest of the arms need to step it up.
For DH, I wouldn't mind seeing John Pearson get some ABs there.

Stanfield K's but battled and made him throw a lot of pitches, Dickinson swings at a pitchers pitch on first pitch.

While Jones most always take pitch #1, Milam swings at the first pitch almost always.

And Jones 2-21 last two weekends, and that's ok.

Can't throw freaking fastballs for strikes!
