Happened to me at DFW a few months back. Although it was awkward and not at all normal, it wasn’t that big of a deal.
We didn’t hit another plane, and obviously you didn’t either.
I wasn’t a drama queen about it.
Airlines do a lot of things wrong, thankfully crashing doesn’t even sniff the list.

Yes, twice. The 2nd encounter dropped from the stars and flew over or very near the insulated, metal building we ran into/were staying in. The noise was deafening and I’ll never be able to explain it. Middle of nowhere, extremely remote area 1-2 am.
