re: Latest Updates: Russia-Ukraine Conflict
Posted by LSUPilot07 on 5/1/25 at 1:07 pm
I love how Ukraine has stood and fought the Russian army to a virtual standstill but there’s no chance either side ever breaks the other down. Crimea was always staging with Russia and Zelensky knows this and has always known it so it comes down to the 4 oblasts that Russia wants. I’d give them Luhansk as it seems that’s the part of Ukraine that has the most pro Russian population. Donetsk would be the big one to negotiate about but i’m telling Russia to get fricked with Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Really the most likely outcome is the battle lines are frozen in place. This is one clusterfrick of a situation where the Russia. leader is too much of an idiot to just be given the many off-ramps that have been afforded to him to stop the fighting but he has to look tough to his people even though they are so dumb and gullable they would follow a potato in a suit. Then you have Ukraine holding out for a better deal when I just don’t see a much better one coming. Sending more weapons won’t move the lines all that much so diplomacy and compromise is the only way out.

Really??
Dumars is about to have assets most GMs would kill for.

I really hope he doesn’t frick it up. A most likely top 5 pick this year, hopefully higher, plus 2 first next year in a supposedly good draft and the all of a sudden very highly valuable pick swaps with the Bucks in 26 and 27. No way Giannis finishes this coming season with the Bucks, I just don’t see how both he or the team can keep him. Milwaukee has to blow it up and get the most picks they can for him in trade and Giannis will want to play for a contender the last few years of his prime. Personally I’m going for it now while you have Zion and Trey on reasonable contracts so I’m hanging picks and those swaps out there for a true difference maker at PG or C.
re: Draft guru Dane Brugler of The Athletic loves The Saints' picks in rounds 4, 6, 7

The real answer is no one really knows what a guy picked on day 3 will turn out to be. The success rate drops off dramatically after the 4th round. That being said, I like the Kansas RB in the 6th a lot. He basically owns all of Kansas’ rushing stats. I think the pick of the draft for us might be Quincy Riley. He’s an undersized outside corner at just under 6’ but he plays the game like a football player and not a corner. He’s physical with bigger receivers and he will gladly lay a hit playing the run. I could see him getting early playing time because Alonte Taylor is not a boundary corner so we need to let him move back to the slot or he has no value for us.

Banks should 77 if he plays LT. Like a smaller Willie Roaf just not as good.
Is Braelin Moore really losing the center battle to Chester?
Posted by LSUPilot07 on 4/28/25 at 7:02 pm
I figured he’d be a plug and play starter.

Never like when a guy has a career threatening injury. That being said, those puck swaps just became a whole lot more valuable.
Saints should try to get Keenan Allen on a 1 year deal.

He’d be the big body at WR we need and he’s still got a little gas left in the tank.
GO GET ZY ALEXANDER!!

UDFA. Gives us size at outside corner.
Every pick in this draft was a multi year team captain.

I like good culture but I hope Loomis isn’t sticking his nose in shite and picking culture over talent. I do like our draft though for the most part.
Really like this draft. We took some foundational pieces.

Maybe not huge names but good, safe players that will play a lot of snaps for us. Good job Kellen Moore.

Possible Colston-esq find late in the draft. Not saying he will be as good as Colston but he’s very talented and smart.
Nick Nash in the 7th please

Big WR, former QB, good athlete.
re: Would've liked to have gotten a guard out of this draft

Wanted Tate Ratledge or Miles Frazier and Detroit got them both.
I would try to package our late picks to get a late 5th.,

Quality over quantity
re: Saints select Louisville Cornerback Quincy Riley 131 overall pick

Great pick. He’s small but physical as hell.

Look how Buffalo is stacking their DL. We need to do the same after stacking our OL.

I think Sampson can be a star. Swinson will be an early contributor and eventual good starter.
Bradyn Swinson or Dylan Sampson

Do it. Sampson can be the new starter after we move on from Kamara after this year.

That wasn’t Mickey.
