You cant call a guy thats averaged 20+ points a game a complete bust but we all thought he was going to be generational and a top 5 player in the NBA. He hasn't been close to our very lofty expectations but he can still help his legacy by playing hard in great shape and developing a 3 point shot or a mid range so he has something besides go to his left to the basket. I think this team as constructed no doubt is a top 10 team in the west on talent but it still hasn’t been brought together. He also needs to be getting 10 rebounds a game. Theres no reason he shouldn’t be a nightly double double. Still have no backup center. If Joe really is going into this year with DJ or Karlo as the backup C he should be terminated. We should have given Marvin Bagley $5 or $6 million to come play for the Pels over the Nuggets for the vet minimum. I’m guessing Joe is planning to get by with Queen at center some.

Former Viper pilot here, frankly I think you need to change your tampon with all due respect. You can cry about fuel and maintenance all you want but have you ever been on an active flight line, especially at war? You wouldn’t be complaining about the flyovers yesterday. Lastly though, if you’re truly a vet then wouldn’t you want to see your country’s power on display for its 250th birthday? Our enemies do shite like this all the time just make themselves look strong and tough to the United States. Not NATO, the United States. It’s ok to let the dog off the chain for the cameras to let the people get a fantastic show but also to remind those enemies who daddy still is and always will be. We could have driven a few hundred tanks down Pennsylvania Ave too if we wanted so count yourself lucky, I have no idea if you could have survived such a show thinking about fuel consumption you might have had a heart attack. Something tells me if Kamala Harris did this you’d call it a great geopolitical move.

I would think Orlando would want to trade Goga Bitadze or Wendell Carter Jr but they seem to be holding onto them. JV is on an expiring $10 million deal and we could probably get him for a couple future 2nd round picks and hopefully send Hawkins back to get off his contract. He’s not perfect but he’s a rebounding machine with an actual offensive threat to go with it. We need a big body like him in the west to spell Missi and give a solid 20 minutes a night off the bench.

All good teams need fringe all star players to go with a star. Hopefully Fears can become that star if Zion isn’t up to it but just because Trey isnt a top 10 player doesn’t mean we should just have a fire sale. His contract has contending teams salivating and we hold all the cards which is why I say don’t be afraid to keep Trey for the time being.

If we are keeping Zion and Missi then you need shooters around them. Trey is on a ridiculously team friendly contract and does exactly what we would use the draft picks if he were traded so to me we should just say he’s off the table unless someone gives Joe a godfather offer. Draft picks aren’t as valuable now with the rules changing about tanking so just hold onto this core and hope that a new coach and vision can unlock the talent that this team has. I’d try to lock up Sadiq Bey and find another center to spell Missi for 15-20 minutes a game.
