The government needs to buy 150-200 brand new F-16G fighters.

F-35 production is what it is but we need to backfill several squadrons still flying F-16s produced in the late 80s to early 90s. The newest F-16 in our entire fleet was produced in 2005 which means our most modern Viper is 21 years old. That is a big problem but thankfully there is a solution that needs to be taken advantage of. Lockheed is pitching the Air Force to buy more new F-16s which would be called the F-16G or the F-16 Block 80/82 just for America. The newest current F-16 is the block 70/72 which is mostly going to the Arab nations. The block 80 for America would come with a new all glass cockpit, conformal fuel tanks for better range as well as enlarged 600 gallon wing tanks so the normal 2 drop tanks under the wings could be taken off and those hard points could be used for more missiles or bombs. It also comes with an upgraded APG-83 AESA radar, improved Sniper targeting pods and a brand new EW (electronic warfare) suite to combat drones and enemy aircraft/anti-air defenses. We need to take advantage of the hot production line in South Carolina to help augment the F-35 and pave the way for the F-16 to be still serving for decades to come.

Fantastic value! Hey is well worth this contract.

Truly don’t mean to be rude here but you are waaaaay out of your depth. I flew the F-16 for many years and for someone like you it’s very easy to play armchair quarterback and say “the pilot should just ride it out” or just eject if it’s mechanical. You have no idea the situation the aircraft was in when the issue happened. Maybe he was flying at a lower altitude which cuts your decision making time drastically if something were to go wrong. We are trained to work the problem, this is where checklists make a huge difference when you have something like a flameout. I can promise you any fighter pilot is going to fight to keep his aircraft in the air but it’s also very easy to know when you are fighting a losing battle to where if possible guiding the aircraft away from populated areas or out over water and then it’s about survival and making a good ejection as safely as possible in the timeframe given is the best you can do. The F-16 was built as an inherently unstable airframe to give it the agility that has made it still the backbone of our fleet for 50 years. But there is absolutely downside for the pilots so that is complete bullshite. You think if we lose a multi million dollar aircraft that the military just says “oh well, it happens”?? Negative. Every second, every decision made in that cockpit would have to be painstakingly gone over in debriefing and investigation and even if the pilot was in the right and did the correct thing, careers have been ended for far less.

Stay classy Ole Miss. Leave families out of shite. Trash

Whatever helps you sleep at night. By the way thank your dipshit AD for pulling his little stunt waiting to serve players a lawsuit during game week by hiding in our football ops parking lot. As if Princewill Umanmielen didn’t already have enough motivation to destroy Chambliss!

Whose angry? I think it’s hilarious that Ole Miss actually thinks they have a snowball’s chance in hell to beat LSU. Hate to break it to you but Golding isn’t fit to hold Blake Baker’s play sheet on defense and please don’t make me laugh comparing John David Baker to Lane/Charlie Weis Jr on offense.

How dare Lane want a guy that sucked arse at passing but was a good athlete to switch to WR instead of QB where Matt Corral was head and shoulders a better QB to run his offense! Poor Pawl, his gumps suck arse without Saban so now he’s just going to be a fan of whoever we play this year. Can’t wait for the clock to hit 0:00 Saturday to bathe in all those Ole Piss tears! What will their excuse be when the Tigers run through that laughable Golding defense like diarrhea through a screen porch door? Good luck defending Trey’Dez Green!

The right side of our OL is not good. Fuaga got worse going back to his natural spot at RT but I think his back injury could be more to blame. He could have been called for 15 false starts last week but the refs let him get away with leaving his stance early. We still need to invest more draft capital to our interior OL and DL. I think Fuaga’s play improves when he gets a better RG next to him but Ruiz has to go after this year.

That entire story is bullshite. This was last year when Drew would have been 47 yet the year after Drew retired and there was talk about him coming back when all we had was Ian Book against Miami but Drew even at that time admitted that he could no longer throw a football with his right arm. He would have had to play lefty last year in a blizzard at 47. No, sorry but I call bullshite.

Let’s hope they are that stupid because we will walk away with a win without even breaking a sweat.

No power, bad vision and terrible blocker. To play for Lane you better be willing to sacrifice your body to pick up a blitz.

Family? For THIS game? You sure aren’t very bright or you just don’t give a shite about your family’s safety.

He needs to put on another 10-15 lbs of muscle and become a run stopping, edge setter type DE because he will never be an elite pass rusher in the NFL. I see him as a 5-7 sack a year type guy.

He has. He and Seaton are going to be a really good duo once they gel in game action.

Touché
Our owner, GM and HC should make a statement about that bullshite call.
Posted by LSUPilot07 on 9/13/26 at 3:50 pm
That was as blatant as the non PI call against the Rams that cost us another SuperBowl. Unfortunately Gayle is probably more interested in literally anything else besides the 2 teams she owns.

Borderlon earned his spot. He’s worked his arse off getting stronger and waited his turn, now it’s here. Bah was the problem last night, not Bordelon. I thought Lane would replace Bah with Harper but he’s the coach and knows way more than me.

That long is always a crapshoot. Love that we know we have a guy with that big of a leg for future games. I wouldn’t hesitate running him back out there for another 60+.
Carlson had the leg to make it from 65.

Can’t fault him for missing it.
