The only thing missing from the OM assessment is the picture of Judge Robert Whitwell and Pete G having lunch together, and having a good laugh... Gonna be fun watching week 3 when LK calls a play to throw it into the end zone inside a minute left and we are already up by 10.

Dumbocrats think Trump is crazy for believing a guy cut the pool liner

Given the last (30) days or so which includes this $14M fiasco (sole-source contract with an unqualified vendor & the quality of work), a slush fund debacle (that received bi-partisan rebuke), and the Iran MOU (which will provide them more money, access to funds that they didn't have prior to the war, has cost BILLIONS to US taxpayers with the loss of service member lives & has Congress questioning it more each day). So who is crazy for continuing to defend this BS?

How about arresting the contractor who completed the work and the idiot who approved the contract to an unqualified vendor?

All the zoning is done before the land purchase takes place 99% of the time.

With SMART developers, yes. Based on the initial post -- "I recently got news that an adjoining landowner is planning to sell his land for the purpose of a data center." -- there may still be time.

We had a developer right on the fringe of our small town buy farmland for the purpose of turning it into high-density apartments (325 units). The residents signed a petition (over 600 signatures) and showed up in HUGE numbers at commissioner meetings, and the commissioners did the right thing by rejecting the rezoning proposal. The residents basically told the developer GTFO....it was priceless.

Ensure the Land Use Plan for that area states the zoning is appropriate for a data center. Sounds like it would be going from Rural Agriculture to Business which would require your local county or municipality approval.

Also get your AL elected leadership to enact legislation to require the Data Center to ensure their electric and water requirements are handled by THEM, and not passed off to others in the surrounding community.

To my surprise we have had bi-partisan support by NC legislatures to ensure Data Centers don't disrupt local community utilities and drain resources.

If you’ve never been, I strongly recommend it. Such a cool city and tons of fun stuff to do.

CONCUR! Freedom Trail, Harbor Tour, game at Fenway, Faneuil Hall & Quincy Market, Sam Adams Brewery, Bell in Hand Tavern, and Little Italy (restaurants & bakeries) are just a few things to see. Clean and safe to move about; we were impressed during a spring visit a few yrs ago.

To your point if JB comes back the starting 9 is complete with a deep batting order of tough outs AND above average defenders. Add a few more quality arms and develop what we have on deck, and we'll plan June vacation in the heartland.

So you think John Brennan or Gina Haspel would do a better job?

No I would have elevated LtGen "Rainman" Adams USMC, the current Deputy, to the Director position...and leave him there especially during a time of war. I worked with him when we were Maj's/LtCol's and you cannot find a more technically and tactically proficient person who will do things right regardless of political blowback.

He has over 3,300 hours in the AH-1 Cobra, to include 300 combat flight hours, and has the utmost respect & confidence from his peers and our troops.

Its been six months or so for years now, after the major fighting in Afghanistan ended.

You are correct that the Navy and the Marine Corps plan for 6 month carrier battle group and amphibious ready group deployments. When real-world contingency operations occur, many are extended to 7-9 months. 11 Months is a LONG deployment (on a boat, at sea) for anyone.

Having spent 6 months on a boat as a Marine, it is not fun. You want to get off the boat for real world ops, exercises, and of course libo. I can't imagine the two MEUs worth of Marines out there are excited, but if you keep them busy boarding ships among other duties they'll stay sharp & focused.

As long as it also comes with clear compliance and whistleblower avenues I don’t have a problem with this.

THIS. You can't use a NDA to curtail reporting fraud or other misconduct.

WHAT?

Still would like to know where all the 'savings' from Doge, gov departments, tariffs, etc went.... Should have gone dollar for dollar to the debt; then he would have something truly to brag about.

I see no mention of a terrorist state developing nukes. Why?

Because they were addressed last June. Trump and his administration repeatedly declared that the attacks had obliterated their nuclear program and set back its ability to make a nuclear weapon for years.

The lack of repeatable deliveries yielding positive results is profound. Pound the zone; it all starts with a strike, and good things generally happen. It has been missing from this staff most of the season...and these guys are on scholly and/or getting NIL money from LSU.
