re: Is there an opportunity to sit Milam?
Posted by HC87 on 4/30/25 at 1:37 pm
He is struggling at the plate, no doubt, but he has been solid as a rock at SS. You know he is putting in the extra work; he just needs a few hits to reinforce his work/adjustments and gain confidence. His best baseball at the plate is still ahead of him.

Agreed. I thought it was interesting that Milam had a rather long conversation with Evans on the mound 1 pitch after the CJJ mtg. I think he was talking to him about what he was seeing & hearing. Evans sure did a GREAT job adjusting and sat them down for the most part thereafter.

Couldn't have scripted it better. Take your arse-whippin like a man, leave your lunch money on the table, and get the heck out of here.

Dropping some dimes and stepping up in the pocket to bide himself some time. What's not to like?

I think Dellinger and J. Will are going to make NFL rosters and become contributors. Lunch pail type guys who were steady performers as Tigers.

Why is the left after pete hegseth?!?!?!?
You don't have to be from the 'left' to see PH is unprepared and incompetent, especially as it pertains to OPSEC.

To RCF, his sweet spot for homers.

He keeps grinding. He stays with his pitches in and out of the zone, setting hitters up. He appears unflappable on the mound. A GREAT addition to our team who is going to pitch in some big moments as this season unfolds.

Sam Dutton also Friday night starter and doing really well elsewhere, except IN the SEC.
That is a head-scratcher that I don't believe most saw coming, but good on him. We'll see what he has in GM 1. Scouting report should be pretty detailed with any tendencies for pitches in certain counts & situations. Nothing against Dutton, but I hope we light him up.

A GREAT SEC-experienced pickup. No other way to say it. He continues to have quality AB's in the 9 spot picking up runners and setting the table for the top of the order. Loved how he sat back on that pitch last night to produce the 2 rbis. He has been a perfect 9-hole hitter for this lineup and is certainly doing his part covering the OF.

re: FSU Taniya Latson in transfer portal. She torches every team she plays. Top scorer NCAA.
Posted by HC87 on 4/8/25 at 1:10 pm
CKM should take whatever NIL money was planned for Latson and get on the phone with Vandy's Mikayla Blakes. 'Make an offer she can't refuse....'

Had the tools to be really good but seemed she lacked ambition and could stand to be a little mean! Way too soft to be a problem for other teams!
Just didn't seem to develop that in the paint attitude and post up play with her back to the basket. See the UCLA C.
Hope the ND C transfer brings it! :geauxtigers:

Looks like $8-16M is the sweet spot to secure an elite 8 and beyond roster. Right or wrong, it's the market the game is played in these days....and it is not sustainable.

Exactly, and I believe MANY consumers will have a similar approach. The deterioration in purchasing & confidence could lead businesses to pare or at least delay investments and new hires, consumers to delay purchases, and for financial risk assets, such as equities, to decline or increase in volatility.
I heard DT say last evening 'two years'. It will be interesting to see what the voters think during the mid-terms....
