LSU backup quarterback Colin Hurley tweeted the following message on Tuesday morning about Brian Kelly.

Hurley, a former four-star quarterback from Miami, Fla., enrolled at LSU at 16 years old and redshirted his freshman season in 2024. He was injured in a car accident in January of 2025 and returned to the team for the final week of spring practice.

He has not played in any games so far this season.

Classy move. Brian Kelly struggled at LSU, but the attacks this man is enduring on social media, national media are bordering cruelty. Criticize the coach. Not the man. He is not Satan.

Mr Hurley has a tremendous opportunity at LSU going forward. And we respect and appreciate his comments.

Said that last time. Athletic Director has to stay out of the process with his record. No 10 year contracts

Stang, who are you gonna hire with less than a 10-year 10+ mil guaranteed contract now? Not Kiffin or any of the high-profile guys out there.

Too many high - jimbo - profile - brian - guys are busts. Give a younger guy a shot to become higher profile here at LSU the way Nick Saban did,

Those are classy remarks by this young man. I hope we get to see him play some in these final games. Obviously, we want to see him be redshirted. He is still very young.

I’m not a fan of Kelly but l don’t think he’s as bad of a man that the media portrays him as. A lot of piling on now

Thanks for being honest young man...stay around...you just never know what the future holds for you...Chambliss at Ole Miss would be 'riding the pine' had not the starter getting hurt.

Good for Colin….it takes a lot of courage to stand up for someone that you respect when it goes against popular sentiment. That kind of character will take him far in life.

finally a player had something nice to say, it was hard to believe he was so universally disliked.

I have yet to hear any players say negative things about Kelly. The narrative in the media now is that he "lost the locker room" and the players quit on him. I seriously doubt that, just piling on by the media for the sake of headlines imo.

Good reports have surfaced from players and parents about CBK. We'll never know what demons he might have been fighting to take his mind off this most important responsibility.

Frank, give Hurley and MVB a shot against Bama. At least the OL will not get them killed. Save Nuss the the remaining 3.

Have to wonder if this is in response to the messaging Kyren Lacy’s father posted on sm.
