State of affairs

Posted by stang14 on 1/1/26 at 4:50 pm
When I was a kid in the 60’s January 1 was a day of great football bowl games. Families gathered and good times. My daddy set up 3 tv’s in the living room and food for everyone. Fast forward to today. Billionaire coach’s, millionaire players and not one game worth watching. Georgia will smoke Ole Miss tonight. Folks under 50 will not understand what I just said.

Go back to old Bowl Program

Not going to have one worthwhile game today on January 1. Pitiful

Go back to the old program and let the sports writers and coaches determine number 1. Number 2 don’t matter

Tech can’t even get a first down. Once the defense wears out Katie by the door.

Tech has good defense but they will wear out in the third quarter. Offense is as bad as Southern Mississippi

JMU-Tulane

Question was a week ago how these two got into the playoffs. How the hades did Texas Tech get here?
Don’t let your heart be troubled. The NCAA has their eyes on punishing the worthless Southern Mississippi men’s tennis program. A big money outfit
Can’t. Greed has ruined the game. Starting with the criminally high salaries coaches started getting a few decades ago. This led to players wanting piece of the pie.

re: Meaningless Bowl Games….

You are totally wrong. These bowls with group of 5 teams are more enjoyable to watch. The teams want to be there. Few of there players chicken out. Were as power 4 teams that play in bowls other than the playoffs many players don’t so up. Ones that do don’t really care. Watch the New Orleans bowl and enjoy the game for what it is. How many LSU players sitting out.
Actually these bowls hosting group of 5 teams are more enjoyable to watch because the teams want to play. Unlike power 4 schools that are playing in other than the playoffs and many players sit out and the ones that do play don’t care.
No team should get a by. So 8 teams are 16
Absolutely. How are these stupid coaches paid so much First down hit the ground

Adrenaline

What we have here is a classic case of adrenaline drop. Oklahoma came out so pumped up, got far ahead. Then. Adrenaline falls off. Can’t perform. Takes long time to recover.

80 percent of teams have red.
My favorite game to watch. No NIL. No Portal.

No. Bama would go after Indiana coach

That is what everyone says when they lose

Did not leave LSU for Alabama. He left to try the NFL. If Kiffin is successful at LSU he ain’t leaving for Bama
Out of the top Mississippi high school football players how many have committed to Ole Miss before all this?
