Agreed…we used to have to buy and read a 3-inch thick book to make a simple automotive repair. Now, you can find anything on YouTube and play the video on your phone or iPad while you are actually making the repair!...

Man, I would just buy a couple of angle grinders and wire cup brushes on them to knock any scale or rust off. That will take forever to blast, but would be much faster with wire wheels. Be sure whoever is running them wears safety glasses AND face shields....

I think $2800 to run a joint and a half of pipe is high. Get some other estimates. That shouldn’t take that much skill to do. Maybe you could buy materials and rent a trencher for some handyman-types to do it for you!...

I have no experience with dementia however, when I was recovering from a stroke, my speech therapists had me get a computer program called Constant Therapy that helped to build my memory. When you see your mom’s neurologist, ask him/her about that. It obviously won’t cure whatever is going on ...
