Sounds awesome, squealers and squirrels on the same hunt!

A lot of unnecessary shite to break and tech will have to order because he doesn’t carry it on his truck. Go basic, you’ll be a lot happier.
re: Is anyone catching hybrid stripers in False River?

I catch them while fishing bass or catfish at times. The discharge canal in Jarreau gets thick with them, a basic chicken rig on the bottom with a shrimp tail works…if you can keep it away from the catfish. Any shad colored crank bait or clear with glitter fluke cast into deep water and steady retrieve will pick them up if schooling. Now until October is your best shot at hybrids.

Nope. They’ve drawn it down a few times and let grass grow but it’s a party lake with heavy boat traffic and camps/homes all around it. It’ll always be dirty but does have fish.

I like all the new fandango cartridges but yeah, if the ole aught six can’t kill it then I shouldn’t be hunting them.

In jest, but it would definitely drive the prices down to sensible amounts.

We are an adaptive species, eventually we’ll get it and no longer marry. School of hard knocks is the greatest teacher.

At Southern Chicks eating a 3 piece mix now. Only caught 2 more off the pile, a 10” and 14.5”. All bass were released where caught and that $20 big gizz lure may be better suited for saltwater.

Just snagged a good one, 19.5”. Not sure if this is one of Chuck’s piles but the bass ate a brown purple laminate senko rigged weightless with a 4/0 weedless hook through the center. I’ll try another hour or so and see if Chuck shows.

Ain’t got a hit on the big gizz, I quit it around 8am and went to a KVD sexy shad and got (2) undersized bass so far. I’m about to go probe some brush piles with senkos and see what happens. The tournament guys are displaying their speed boats this morning, they must can’t find any over 14” too?

Out here in the north end canals chunking the big gizz looking for a hawg. Lots of boats this morning, appears to be a tournament at Jim’s? Good luck to all out today.
