Update from yesterday’s trip:
Caught 19 bass from the “chest freezers” brush pile. All fish were released at catch site and most were too small to keep anyway (11-13”). First time I’d ever fished in a boat with livescope and it almost felt like cheating, ALMOST. I did get a better understanding ...

The neighbor talked me into going fish the brush piles with him today. I started at 6:09 am with a green pumpkin baby brush hog until my neighbor landed his second bass on a jellybean zoom trick worm. I’ve only dove hunted in it and had birds flying all afternoon. The leasee informed me that it made a decent summer plot for deer and turkey as well. Like all food plots, it’s always a gamble and the house usually wins. ...

Another adventurous challenge pond. Go to the southern most parking lot of Heritage Manor nursing home and sneak to that pond. Not a pond but a canal that dumps into the pond at Greenwood park in Baker. Lavey Lane near Hwy 19. Park at the strip mall by Baskins Robbins and fish the canal between the shopping center and residential area.
