I liked it but it’s a damn shame that groom’s cake isn’t available 24/7/365.

Entirely off topic, but the biggest shed I’ve ever found was along black lick creek in Kisatchie NF right outside of Dry Prong. All the tines had been chewed off by rodents but the sheer weight of that right side was mind boggling. There’s some serious bucks cruising that area.

I hear ya. My grandfather said he didn’t see a deer until the early 1930’s, and it was a dead one tied to the rear bumper of a car. He thought it was some kind of crazy-horned goat.

Hunting 100 years ago must’ve sucked.

The bacon, egg and cheese sammich from farmers market on scenic highway.
I just ask them to help me finish mowing the lawn. Work scares everyone away.
Great buck, hopefully you get him this winter.

Hell, I belong to a coalition that secretly watches the government. I highly recommend joining.

Looks like dove Mecca to me. Great job!
But she’s our trashy piece of shite.
That looks like some kick arse tasso! Take my money!

Hehehe, Boudreaux filled his tags and someone else’s tags.
That fence needs Crossbow herbicide. You won’t have to deal with it again until spring.

I hunt in area 4 a good bit too and haven’t shot a buck on this particular lease yet. 17” minimum beam length bucks in a St Helena pine plantation appear to be elusive, so I’m good with 2 does and all the pigs that give me a shot.

If Louisiana really wants to get serious, we’d have a 1 buck, 3 doe statewide. But clearly we are continuing towards mediocrity.

No idea? All I know is bare dirt will turn green with grass and remain green.

re: Fall food plot planting dates.

Yeah, some years we get burned by the food plot gods. We’ve planted between the October new moon and first quarter moon as long as I can recall regardless of weather. Supposedly this year is going to be a wetter, warmer fall/winter. We shall see.

Getting rid of it in a couple years, expert gardener kwik grass seed at Walmart and a bag of triple 13 fertilizer broadcasted on all bare dirt with a sprinkler about 20 minutes every night. Easy and cheap.

Fall food plot planting dates.

October 11-17 planting for the tallest grains and pray for rain too.
