re: What’s the most overused, trite phrase on this board?

For me it’s anything discussing will Wade, positive or negative really.

Idk, when has lsu ended the regular season outside the top 10 and been a legitimate contender?lsu has always had one of the toughest schedules nationally.I personally don’t think it’s that big of a deal, if they are good they should win some big games and at least make a top 10 playoff spot, if they can’t do that they should be there IMO.

Or he is going to play like he plays, more likely he will have a small improvement win some games but also lose us some. It’s not very likely he will turn into burrow over the offseason or learn how to run a 4.3 either.

Hardly. I read several dozen posts about Freeman vs. Kelly before I posted anything here recently.
Yeah started by some other ND idiot. I don’t know how else to say it but we don’t care about ND, or the big 10 or really any school not in the SEC ( and even then, for the other SEC fans there’s a separate board for those asshats because we don’t want them on here). Go cry on your leprechaun board with your compatriots and take some solace in the fact that you weren’t blown out as bad as most thought you would be.

is he any good? Is there anticipation he may contribute in a meaningful way?

So you're saying LSU should have hired freeman instead of BK? I really dont care about Notre dame or Freeman or if you get blown out by OSU or not. GTFO of LSU message boards brah
re: Kelly pros and cons

Well he has never had a team with big time talent everywhere to win “big games” which are really just games against good teams, here or at ND. So I think the real discussion is, is that on him or not. At ND with no geographical recruiting base it was always argued that he was at a disadvantage, which I personally still adhere to regardless of this years results. At LSU it has been argued he took over a poor/depleted roster, however, after 3 recruiting cycles I think it can be argued if next years team looks like this years he is just a poor evaluator of talent. As he has for the most part it seems signed the recruits he has wanted, other recruiting factors play a much smaller role.
So for me if next year LSU looks like an lsu team athletically we are used to post 2000 I think the excuses used for him may be valid however if they continue on the trend of teams post 19 from an athletic and competitive point of view I think we are in need of a change.

re: What are your thoughts on why LSU has struggled and continues to struggle at safety.

Poor recruiting, evaluation, development and coaching.
re: RB Xavier Ford assessment
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/28/24 at 3:47 pm
Yeah I really thought they should have offered him, very little risk as they they aren’t going to completely use up all the roster spots anyways.
re: Top to bottom where does the talent level of 2025 rank
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/27/24 at 6:58 pm
You think it’s near the top? I would say 23 was about the least athletic team I’ve seen since my freshman year in 05. No where near the talent levels of the miles and early O days IMO. 24 could be better but we lose some and gained some in the portal so I’m hopefull but not too optimistic.

Bra, how long have you been waiting for this guy to be brought up so you could relate how excited and impressed you were by his dick. Take this to the poly board or something.
re: How many teams in the playoff would LSU be favorited against @home?
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/21/24 at 6:31 am
It’s really inexcusable how bad lsu stinks and that it can’t make the playoffs ahead of half of these teams .
re: Am I crazy to think that a Natty is legitimately in the cards for LSU next season?
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/18/24 at 8:23 pm
I honestly don’t think we have the level of talent we used to pre -Covid at almost any position and we are more than just a player or two away. A realistic expectation is 10 wins and it would take a lot of luck to get far in the playoffs.
re: Why no love for Florida edge rusher Jack Pyburn

Its obvious, he is white and there is a conspiracy on this website where no one will ever mention a player if he is white no matter how good he is.
re: Can u imagine Coach O navigating portal and NIL
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/15/24 at 7:31 am
Idk O consistently had a pretty high rated recruiting class and won a national championship here in his short stint. What has BK done that suggests heads and shoulders better at anything?
re: The worst Alabama team in 17 years came into Tiger Stadium and drug LSU all over the field
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/8/24 at 4:52 pm
It was a bad matchup for us more than anything, we couldnt stop the run (especially their QB) and their athletes were just better than ours. Not to mention our qb played his worst game.
re: Louisiana Native and Bama WR Kendrick Law expected to enter the portal
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/8/24 at 4:50 pm
because if you just look at him, he is a big time athlete of which of which we don't really have at the wr position on this team. He is a definite take IMO.
re: Can we restructure Kelly’s deal?
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/7/24 at 3:06 pm
How much money have we wasted on these buyouts on the last 3 coaches, I'm counting BK after next year. They really need to re-think these buyouts and structure an incentive structure instead. If you think about it, the buyout actually incentivizes poor performance as you get a huge bonus payment for zero work if you do a poor job. Instead you should get the huge bonus if you win x amount of games a year , even more if you make the playoffs and a ridiculous bonus if you win a championship. That should be the structure and for people saying it wouldn't be a competitive offer for coaches, I can guarantee you could find someone with the right incentives.
re: NIL, plan of attack to follow
Posted by Srobi14 on 12/7/24 at 8:41 am
I agree you grab a starting safety, cb and center and that's about the best you can hope for. People thinking we can completely rebuild our roster to compete for a championship with this portal class are a little unrealistic.
