I was good with everything else for the most part. We never did SPAM or anything like that, but bologna, olive loaf, and lunchmeat, etc were lunch staples.
Back around 1975, I think, I have a very vivid memory of it snowing in Kenner one winter evening, and my parents wouldn't let me go outside until I ate all my Brussel sprouts. I remember a very difficult, crying, tantrum, and choking them down until I was done, so I could experience it. My parents had "don't give a frick" determination in teaching lessons. Happy they raised me that way.

He was crushing 50 yarders in high school, so he was a prospect, but the bright lights of the college game was not something he was comfortable with.
