It made more sense when we were in the same conference. But regional competitors (tu & OU) do matter. The measuring stick should be Bama & UGA. Who we will have to beat to win the SEC. We're all in. Stadium. Coach. Facilities. Etc. The goal is the best. Top 15s aren't enough anymore.

This is the truth, we need to set the bar higher that tu and OU.

No reason at all that a&m and ut cant sign top 7 classes each year. Both schools need to lock down the state and stop letting schools like lsu and ou etc cherry pick the talent here. It happened in the 90s. I don't see why it cant happen again.

Nah I like winning, I just don’t tuck tail and run to the comfort of poor Aggy when things aren’t 100% positive.

I had mixed emotions about the Fisher hiring, but c’mon, expecting him to wave a magic wand and make this a good class is stupid.
He was hired a week before the first ever early signing day, then had a month of dead period followed by 3 weeks to recruit kids he’d never met before who other coaches had been recruiting for YEARS.
I knew that no matter who we hired this would be a write-off recruiting class. If you convinced yourself otherwise, the joke is on you for being delusional.
Now, all that said, if he doesn’t knock it out of the park with the 2019 class after a year to put it together with the staff he’s hired at the salaries he’s paying, then he/we are in SERIOUS trouble.
But, I fully expect him to reel ‘em in for ‘19. Look at Coach Hotlips - godawful first class and a great (on paper) second class. It’s become too difficult to kill it right away, and it’s now doubly hard with early signing.
