Texas A&M QB Marcel Reed Sends Warning To Texas: 'I've Got Something For Them'

Texas A&M quarterback Marcel Reed isn't hiding his feelings about rival Texas ahead of the 2026 season.

During an interview with USA TODAY's Blake Toppmeyer, Reed made it clear he's already looking forward to the Aggies' Nov. 27 matchup against the Longhorns in College Station.

"I hate the color orange," Reed said. "The colors just look so ugly. Everywhere you go (in Austin), you see that color orange. Burnt orange? Who likes burnt orange? Texas, it's the rival, bro. You gotta hate them."

Reed also hasn't forgotten that Texas has beaten Texas A&M in each of the two meetings since the rivalry resumed in 2024.

"We don't like Texas. I don't like Texas," Reed said. "It sucks that we've lost to them twice. But, they're coming here this year, so they're gonna have to pay. I've got something for them, for sure."

Texas won 17-7 in College Station in 2024 before beating the Aggies 27-17 in Austin last season.

The Longhorns and Aggies will renew the rivalry on Black Friday, Nov. 27, at Kyle Field.
