Texas... and Michigan.

Does the falling get worse once you started chemo?

It took over a year for it to kick in on me. Once it hit me I went from walking just fine to... not. And now I'm OFF chemo and still running into things. I haven't had any falls in 3 months or so, so I should stop whining.
Fight on, brother. We share this abomination of an affliction. The main difference (as far as I can tell) is that you have hopes of recovery, while mine (pancreas) is batting 1.000 against humanity. I've survived longer (3+ years) than I had a right to expect mostly because I won the wife-picking lottery. My lovely assistant insists on keeping me alive for some reason. Married or not, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have a good family and friends support system in place. On days when you're feeling particularly crappy, they will pump you up and remind you that YOU ARE A STRONG SUMBITCH. So that's my #1.

#2 is don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. And you will need it.

#3: Don't fall. I don't know how your treatment will treat you. But in my case, it turned a bicycle-racing champion into a clumsy fool who can't walk from one end of the house to the other w/o incident. Walking outside to check the mail is impossible. This one pisses me off. A lot. But it's better than falling, which I have some experience with. So... don't fall.

This is a lot of unsolicited advice and you're welcome to tell me to shove off. Either way, be strong and good luck to you.

Great video I've never seen before. Thanks for posting this!
I was blessed to grow up in the Dallas area where Verne covered the Cowboys for one of the 3 TV stations we had. So my fond memories may be more about the Cowboys than Verne. In any case, yeah I miss him, too.
A while back there was a good, local HS running back named, I kid you not, Miraculous Powers. I thought that was a genius move by his parents.

Sadly at the next level he bounced around the juco circuit for a while but didn't do anything miraculous.

It beats NOT being in the loser's bracket!
If true this is a really dumb move by the old Alma Mater. But coming from Pawl, I have my doubts.
Helluva game. Of course it helps that the good guys won.

Yea we suck this year but Aggie is our bitch. We will destroy their hopes and teach them a lesson about how you don’t quit games in order to save your RPI

This is my favorite post of the year.

I'm happy to help with your education.
That was a WAY better game than my gut normally tolerates. And it happened despite Harry's jinx.

Good luck the rest of the season, Arkansas fans.
