He is reading the room. That room has lots of donors to his political career. And they called in a favor for said donations to his campaign.
It's not lots though. This is basically one spoiled arse billionaire who doesn't like being told no.
It's a really fricking stupid thing for him to get involved in and he's giving Talerico a massive gift for the election.
Taylor Swift danced and Wemby became entranced.

He's currently 89, wonder what his contingency plan is...assigning the rights to a family member so they can keep dragging out the contract
It would be funny if there's no clause for his death so he could record 50 different skits and just have them all be in "post production" until needed for renewal time.

Apparently the #1 rule of Star Wars fandom is to hate the person running Lucasfilm and to blame them for ruining their childhood.

Curious as to how The Pirate, if still alive & coaching there, would handle this.
He'd have told the admin to frick off they don't get to dictate who plays and then Tech would have fired him and refused to pay out his contract just like they did the first time when he told them to frick off over Adam James.
What's funny to me is that Tech has pretty much guaranteed the Big 10 will fight tooth and nail to keep them out of any kind of super league. 6 months ago they may have been able to slide in w/a few Big 12 teams. Now? Unless they immediately backpedal the Big 10 is going to ban their schools from playing them in ALL sports. Would not be surprised to see the SEC and ACC follow their lead. Hell, if Tech isn't careful on how they play this they may even get expelled from the Big 12.

There’s some kind of folklore/old wives tale about cats coming in and sucking the soul out of people while they slept and killing them. I think Stephen King alluded to this same concept in Dr. Sleep with the death cat in the hospital.
The cat wasn't killing anyone. It was just sensitive to when people were about to pass away and would let Danny know so he could comfort them. It was the vampires like Rose the Hat who were sucking out souls in Dr Sleep. The cat actually helps Danny against the vampires in the book.
King also had a cat protect Drew Barrymore from a troll that was trying to suck the life out of her when she was asleep in Cat's Eye.
Come to think of it, there's a lot of soul sucking King's work.

Dexter Morgan was addicted to murder. Somewhere a judge has signed off on an injunction to let him still play for Miami.

That’s exactly what it was, they didn’t do a “modern” story so they axed it
 at immediately bitching about "modern" stories when your ignorant easily rage baited arse didn't realize Stargate had already been doing "modern" stories.

Stargate already had gay characters and female captains so... what is it you're complaining about again?

What happened
His strike zone suddenly got real big and wide and he called the final batter out for standing out of the box too long. Super ticky tack way to end it.
What a lame arse way for the ump to end it in Auburn. Dude clearly wanted out of there w/those calls lol.

The resulting cap space went unused, and the team was swept in the first round of the 2012 playoffs. "
To be fair, on paper, they recovered really well after missing out on Dwight Howard in free agency by swinging a trade for Lamar Odom.
Unfortunately, that was also the year he went into full blown drug induced depression and he ended up being so awful his teammates effectively vote him off the squad by season's end. The guy became so useless he would still be late to or even miss practice even though he lived across the the street from the AAC.
He went from putting up 14.4 ppg, 8.7 rpg, 3 apg on 53% fg and 38% 3pt in his final LA season to an awful 6.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 1.7 apg on 35% fg and 25% 3pt.

Yeah Nico sucks arse. We know.

If you didn’t know which team was which and just looked at the two rosters (Luka excluded), it would be hard for me to argue that OKC has objectively more talent.

You aren't anywhere close to being a rational person here at all.

Betty Boop was based on a black woman.
I assume this is the "Betty Boop" character Brunson will be playing considering the description of the movie doesn't sound like it's a literal live action Betty Boop movie but rather a biopic about her creator Max Fleischer and his relationship w/the character.

we were out-talented."
How is this throwing his teammates under the bus when it's completely true due to their injury issues? It was amazing they even got out of the first round in the first place. You don't lose a guy like Luka and pretend "next man up" is going to work replacing that kind of production.

Ideally they would change the score. But I think doing that retroactively to fix “missed calls” would probably start a shitstorm, especially the first time it changes the outcome of the game.
They already do it w/3 pointers when they see a guy had his foot on the line after the fact and nobody freaks out about it. They should be able to do it for goal tending as well.
