I expect to come across a few unruly fans when traveling to away games so I've never been truly shocked by bad behavior. While not a true road game, the Ohio State and Penn State fans we came across during bowl games were the worst of the worst.

A&M fans are the best. Went out there in 2013 and had a great time.
A&M prides itself in hosting a good tailgate and being a friendly place to visit.
Perhaps we've been a little too friendly to opposing teams in recent years.

Consider yourself fortunate you never had to go watch your team play Bama at Legion Field. Walking to and from the car was the biggest adventure.
This has nothing to do with Bama and everything to do with Birmingham.

Also Ohio St. trip in the 80s was a little uncomfortable.
I went to the game in 2005 when Texas went to Columbus. Ohio State had never lost a home game at night before that game. Their fans went nuts. Stuff was thrown at us in the stands, including a tube of lipstick which (I am assuming) was thrown by a girl. Multiple groups wanted to fight us after the game. It was worse than being in Arkansas.

Trust me on this. It’s Florida. Florida is rough especially when they’re good.

Surprisingly Carolina was the worst followed by Baltimore.
Try going into Philadelphia to an Eagles game dressed in visitors garb.

Everyone I know actually has spoke well of LSU fans. Oddly enough Kentucky fans are pretty nasty, but we are like that to Alabama fans. Honestly I enjoy the hostility most of the time

UCF. Their fans don’t know shite about football, and for some reason theyre all puffed up like they won something. Their stadium ( high school sized) is silver aluminum bleachers, gives you an awesome sunburn by halftime. The visitor section is placed in front of the lone stadium loudspeaker platform which without ear protection you will lose some hearing capacity. Its a commuter school.

Eagles fans are in a class of their own, home & away. Not even close. One told me at a Saints game that his group always pools for bail money as they know someone in their group will get arrested. And this was for road games. Their stadium was among the first, if not the first, to install a small jail in the bowels of the stadium, so many were getting arrested they were running out of police vans to transport them to the main jail. But as for the SEC, the stadium marshals at Tenn. & Fla. are in a league of their own.

Haven't been able to make the trip to Starkville yet.
Don't bother. Dullest town and worst fan experience, by far, in the SEC.
Florida isn't great, but Gainesville isn't a bad place overall. Just Florida fans who are obnoxious

Have to be fsu...went to the 07 game and unfortunately that was pretty much a home game for them. Their fans had been drinking most of the day and it didn't bring out the best in them.
I've been to a Clemson game and they weren't that bad.
Auburn wasn't bad either tbh.

Lol…y’all ain’t seen nothing yet. While individual games or instances stick out in your minds, you won’t consistently see anything in the south or SEC as bad as UT Austin. From overheating visiting team locker rooms…putting the opposing bands and fans so far away they might as well be on the other side of IH 35…to punk arse kids picking fights with grandparents…to the homeless druggies accosting and threatening everyone, breaking into everyone’s cars, and the fact the Austin police, by order of their liberal woke city, will not protect you or interfere unless you get killed, rest assured your Austin game day experience will suck. Lol

Oh, I get it now. Guilty as charged

Not to mention it was a winner take all game for LSU’s first trip to the SECCG. Tiger Stadium was rocking that night.

I've heard some bad things about WVU fans for sure.
WVU fans used to show up at Beaver Stadium, in games they weren't even involved in, and act like total dicks. They always got kicked out but I have to imagine actually going to WVU is a terrible experience

Going to Georgia Tech is the worst possible experience you can endure from a fanbase. I don't want this to sound racist, but you're just surrounded by a bunch of scrawny little foreign engineer students that know absolutely NOTHING about football and just reek with homofied, fagometric vaginosis. They're obnoxious and think they are all just a bunch of geniuses because they attend Tech. I'll never go back to another game their as long as I live.
