Nowadays, you have to make the date spontaneous, so it's either yes or no, with no out. If they are the planning type, they will suggest another time, if they like you.
If they've only met you once, like at a bar or a party, or if you got matched via a dating app, and you are unfamiliar, women can get cold feet. Although being stood up is a sign that you need to move on, it's not abnormal for them to politely cancel. If you are smooth, it's no big deal. You can meet later once she gets to know you better.

I understand that Coach Boudreaux at Ascension Catholic told you guys that a bad call from the refs is not an excuse, but that was simply to get you guys to stay focused, and keep playing, despite what the officials decide. But we are no longer playing high school football on Friday nights, and in a hostile road game in the SEC, where every play matters, a terrible call from the refs could be the difference, and that was what happened last night. It's not unreasonable to blame the loss on incompetent or rigged officiating.

I would argue it is more difficult with NIL, because Lane was basically tasked with piecing together an expansion franchise. He’s filling this roster full of guys he doesn’t know, and these guys have never played together, and don’t know each other, which puts our team at a disadvantage already. Even the most intelligent football pundits had no idea what we had going into the year.
Saying things like “we should be undefeated right now…. Uhh… uhhh…. It’s NIL…. It’s all Lane’s fault…” is just stupid.

eta: My dad preached at two small rural churches, and received a very small stipend from both of them, and every Sunday afternoon during my childhood, I remember going to nursing homes and hospitals, and visiting the elderly and the sick, and praying for them.

It's become a tradition for LSU to bitch slap Texas A&M. We we went off track in recent years, but order has been restored. I look forward to seeing how long LSU will take the next winning streak against A&M.

A bar of soap works pretty well, actually. I've run out of shampoo before, and had to use it. I couldn't tell the difference.

LSU vs. Rice in Dinardo’s first year. It was the week after the magic was brought back to Tiger Stadium in that big Auburn win.

The first that comes to mind is Houston shoving the ball down our throats in Tiger Stadium back in maybe 1999. Dinardo was fired the following Monday. That was probably the worst for me.

The trick is to stay in the left lane from the exit ramp all the way to the right turn to get to the entrance. Very few people know that you can turn right from the left lane. Do not enter through the first entrance. Enter through the second a little further back. And exit from the same back entrance. So much easier, and less crazy.
