Notre Dame

I’ve had unfortunate experiences at other games (e.g., UTex, Colorado, Baylor); but they’re distant seconds.

ND = the most overrated and disappointing trip ever—and I’ve traveled to a decent number of games. It’s doubtful any future away game will ever touch ND (fans, stadium, environment, etc.) in terms of shittiness.

So, your two biggest rivals and the school supported by the most obnoxious poster on here? Shocker.

I've been to the majority of SEC stadiums as an SEC fan and honestly haven't gotten anything too bad at all compared to visiting NFL stadiums.

I'm never going to an NFL stadium again in away team clothes. Just brutal and relentless. Surprisingly Carolina was the worst followed by Baltimore.

For sure. I've seen some real assholes in Columbia as well. I've heard good things about Miss St. from other Gamecock fans who have made the trip.

I’m hoping to make the trip to Columbia this year. Another sec road trip to mark off my list and we don’t play y’all often so I need to go. Should be a great game with the players we both have returning. Hopefully our secondary can slow Rattler down a bit

The only place I won't go in the SEC is Baton Rouge. What you experience there is seen nowhere else. Only place that feels "unsafe"

Ohio St fans are shite. They rival LSU

A&M fans are the best. Went out there in 2013 and had a great time.

UT fans, when they are winning are pretty bad.

They’re shitty as visiting fans too. I went to one of their games against UofL when a kid I worked with played there and asked us to go. The Big East allowed beer sales and they tossed tons of their fans by the end of the first half. After their loss, walking back to cars, they were throwing shite at the UofL fans and busted several windows in one of the athletic parking lots.

Yes. This is basically our experience up in Morgantown in 2008. They are a rough bunch.

There were some Bama fans wanting to roll Toomer’s Corner and a whole bunch more Auburn fans not wanting them to. It never felt unsafe though and cooler heads eventually prevailed.

Until they finally got to the trees 20 years later and literally MURDERED them.

I haven’t been to LSU, but based on how I’ve seen their visiting fans treating home fans- I’d have to assume that trip wouldn’t be a great experience. And Louisiana seems like a shite hole. That’s saying a lot coming from someone from Columbia (man I hate that it’s this way… but it is what it is…).

Bottle throwing in the UT stadium toward the Vandy section. Absolutely stunned that they would do that. Somebody, even a kid, could have been severely hurt. Security did nothing, although there probably was no way to figure who throw them. Won’t go back: just hate them more.

It's hilarious how defensive UGA fans get when someone highlights the fact that grown men barking in your face aggressively isn't something to be overly thrilled about.

who's defensive? I pointed out the softness.

And you're now misrepresenting your comments. You never said in your OP anything about being in your face or invading your personal space. You simply mentioned barking and "go dawgs". Now the story has morophed into aggresively being in your face. I'm sure the next post will involve punches being thrown at any female members of your group.

Nah LSU is a great trip as long as you aren’t sensitive about the tiger baits you will receive. Just take it in stride and they’ll treat you well. I say this as a state fan but I guess it could be different for an Alabama or Florida fan

My worst experience was at South Bend. I was caught off guard as I figured it being a Catholic institution. After the game that ND won, several people tried tearing my flag out of my hand as I exited the stadium. Also Ohio St. trip in the 80s was a little uncomfortable.
Best experience was at Alabama Legion field. It was the Bears last season and LSU pulled the upset. The fans were congratulating us as we exited. I was impressed by the way Bama fans reacted that day.

1. LSU in 2001 The first time back to Baton Rouge after the Cigar game and my gosh, you would have thought Auburn fans had killed Mike the Tiger the way their fans acted

Your team stomped on the eye of the tiger before the game and even got an unsportsmanlike penalty for it.

Then your douchebag kicker was practicing kicks while our band was on the field. Then was running his mouth when band members pushed him out of the way. The whole stadium was screaming Auburn Sucks after halftime.

The actions of of team pissed off the whole fanbase that night.

Back in the day ('60s &'70s), Knoxville, Tennessee was a war zone for Tide fans! Taking a wife/date or kids wasn't a smart move.

The story hasn't morphed into anything. Most non-UGA fans understood the meaning behind that statement. It's just the oblivious UGA fans that are in denial.
