Actually, it’s not. Nashville is safer than Memphis. In Nashville you can leave Bridgestone Arena and walk either way for multiple blocks and not have to worry about being shot or robbed. You go to Memphis, they pat you down and search you before entering Beal Street.

If it was in Memphis, where would you have it at? Fedx Forum? Have you ever seen the surrounding area around FedX Forum? It’s not great by any means. As a person that grew up in west Tennessee, Memphis is over rated, and it’s gotten worse over the years.

While I appreciate your input, I’m about 99.9% positive his post was sarcasm. Nobody actually thinks that shite

I went to the Final between Kentucky and Georgia. Pitino was coaching the Wildcats and they blew the Dawgs out. Tubby was coaching Georgia and GG was his point guard. I think Kentucky hired him away that offseason.

Why can't yall just be happy with the good setup that we currently have?

Bridgestone Arena is in an awesome area of Nashville for visitors. You walk outside and you're on Broadway.

The pyramid in Memphis is also on the back of the $1 bill.

Because people wouldn't attend, people dont particularly enjoy paying tons of money to travel and then get mugged or their car broken into when they get there. Especially if its a foreseeable problem.

I only brought this up in response to the NOLA thread: it is better than NOLA. It’s probably the most neutral and central site in SEC territory. The only other neutral site in the SEC is probably DFW and that isn’t exactly central plus DFW is honestly a better place to live than it is to visit.
Memphis has a ton of history to check out, great food, live music, places to party, and plenty of lodging within a 10 minute walk to FedEx. It also caters to all budgets though the hotels are slightly older and smellier than you would expect from the same brands in other cities.

Cause I don’t want my car stolen by a 12 year old (Friend at church had this happen)

Or mugged in a parking lot (School secretary had this happen)

Or shot at from a random overpass while driving on 240 (Happened to me while driving home from work)

Or find a random dead guy (Happened to me off Beale St. over 5 years ago)

Or get a random fine from MLGW even though I don’t live there (happened to me and I live in MS)

Or get shot at in the Zoo parking lot by random drugged up asshat during ZooBoo (happened to me with the whole family in the car)

Or deal with Memphis PD who don’t do shite (Worthless because of a worthless chief, worthless DA, and a worthless city government)

I don’t give a dime to Memphis in any form or fashion. With 269 built, I’m glad I can drive around it. You can get great BBQ in Southaven at Memphis BBQ or old style at Interstate BBQ.

Memphis has hosted the SEC tournament and I
attended twice, in 94 and 97. I feel Nashville is a better location.

I did see the ducks walk through the lobby.
