Might be an unpopular opinion but it’s the truth.

In the world of NIL where even teams that are in the playoffs have coaches and players opting out to not play or participate due to instant personal gains the “nothing to lose” mentality does apply on a player to player level. This isn’t Herm Edward’s “you play to win the game” mentality anymore.

Also you underestimate the importance and power of WAOM in this. Kiffin built a program trying to get over this mentality. The best way to do it is to say “frick it and frick you” which is what they have been built on. With Kiffin leaving them they could’ve all went WAOM and been done with it. Instead they are like “frick it, we will do it anyways.” It’s both a mix “frick you/ prove you wrong” and “frick it/ do it regardless”. You need both to override the WAOM factor. Congrats rebs. You have a very dangerous team setup to win big.

This is so fricking stupid. People need to stop feeding the lawyers over petty shite that has already been handled. 95% of what is wrong with our culture is this shite right here and the fear that someone is going to try to sue or press charges on stupid shite. Add in shitty judges who allow these cases to even make it to trial and now you have a system flooded with stupid shite like this.

Anyone making that kind of money is not a “kid.” Also anyone making an arse of himself and throwing a fit when he doesn’t get what he wants is a bitch. Dude can ball but is also a spoiled brat. When the money dries up I hope he can learn how to sell stuff without being an a-hole or else he will need to learn how to mop floors.

There is no way in hell we would leave. We are a charter member of the conference so the only way this would happen is if there was a total collapse of the conference as a whole.

Also, anyone who wants to leave a conference because “they want to win more” or “we are bigger brand than our conference” is just as ghey and fricking assholistic as ND. At some point a line has to be drawn on keeping college athletics tied to traditions and student education or else you just scrap university athletics all together and start a minor league program for each sport which would be ultra mega fricking stupid.

Thanks. We will take it and the extra practices. Lebby has some things to learn as a HC but he has us trending in the right way. Going to be interesting to see if we can get over the hump next season.
