Alabama backed off and Alabama did not sue the SEC. Alabama did not go recruiting pro players. Alabama opened the door for Bediako and they slammed it shut again. LSU is taking this much much farther.

He felt awful about Nate Oats' wife having cancer...

Little did he know, Nate Oats didn't even care.

Same reason why hwy patrolman doesn’t pull over everyone going 70 in a 60, it’s the ones that wave the middle finger as they go by that gets the ticket.

LSU did not sue the SEC. Alabama went recruiting pro players or else he would not have been there(kinda hard to have an issue with a pro player if you didnt recruit said pro player). LSU has not rostered the two players in question pending the Federal suit. LSU abided by the rules and Sankey is threatening expulsion because of a joking comment.

All of this is incorrect, FWIW.

Bediako stopped playing because a judge lifted the injunction, not because of anything Alabama or the conference did. Alabama would have played him the entire year.

LSU didn't sue the SEC, and we also backed off and didn't roster the controversial players that would have violated the new SEC rule you nimrod

It's truly amazing how many people think LSU sued the SEC. It's an automatic indicator of ignorance on the subject matter.

I do agree with this criticism. I think there are a handful of things in play here:

1. It's basketball. It's just not as important bottom line.

2. The SEC was caught off guard. This is a real valid criticism of Sankey. I think they weren't prepared for this and it took too much time to speak to attorneys, the NCAA, etc for them to react quickly enough. By the time they might have been prepared, that other judge ruled against Bediako so they were bailed out.

3. I would not be surprised if Oats / Alabama isnt punished in some form for the stunt they pulled. The SEC doesn't publicly talk about punishments for weeks on end prior to doing something. Don't be shocked if the week before basketball season starts, there isn't some slap on the wrist given to Oats and he has to sit out the first 2 games or something like that.

For sure, LSU didn't even roster the players. Alabama literally played theirs.

How so? It's only natural that he would think his best chance to come back is to the school he left. Now the players LSU allegedly recruited are actually from a different school, correct? So they're had to be some contact between their former head coach who was now at a different school. Not quite the same.

And if your head coach could keep his mouth shut, this might have blown over.
