Was she in imminent threat of bodily harm or death when she shot him?
If he was advancing on her in an aggressive manner, yes.
quote:

Did he have a weapon?
Not required to meet self defense standards, IMO.
quote:

Who instigated the confrontation?
Important to determine.
quote:

Did he approach her car at the beginning of the argument and threaten her?
More important if he continued to approach her car and threaten her.

That's murder.
Disagree.

Self defense.

Do not advance on a retreating, armed opponent.

I would find her not guilty.
quote:

If your white wife was being followed by a larger black male, and she was retreating, pulled a gun and continued to retreat, but the black male continued to follow her until she fired on him would you still consider it cold blooded murder?

The standard has to be the standard across the board. We can't just keep moving the goal post to suit our biases.

If i get into with anyone and they attempt to physically remove themselves from the situation and I follow them and they pull a gun and I continue to follow them, then I wouldn't expect much sympathy if they open fire on me.
Agree with all of this.
quote:

Again, could she have run away? - YES
The question is, was she repeatedly trying to retreat and was he continuously advancing?

That is the make or break component here.

Both of them are idiots, but she is not going to be charged or convicted of murder based on the two videos posted in this thread. Pulling a gun over a parking space is retarded, but once she did and the man continued to advance towards her while she kept trying to back away, she is probably justified in using deadly force.
This.

If she repeatedly retreated and he continued to advance, I fully support her shoot.

You cannot continue to advance like he did.

Sucks overall, but she should not be convicted for this.

Yea, who made that list?

Does anyone actually hate Indiana?

I completely agree about Backrooms.

It just fell flat.
Wife’s vehicle does that.

Scruffy can ignore the beeps.

What gets his goat is the fricking auto-brake system.

You know better than not put what platform you saw the movie on.

You can rent it on YouTube.

I wish I could have seen it in theaters. Would probably have been great.

Saw Backrooms in theaters.
What a POS.

He should have just gone out in a Blaise of glory instead.

I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The story was simple, but the atmosphere was extremely well done.

Markiplier’s acting was good and the overall directing and photography was pretty well done.

I will be honest, despite the difference in rating scores, I enjoyed it FAR more than I did The Backrooms, although the latter has received far more praise.

I almost fell asleep in The Backrooms.

Probably not the best comparison being somewhat different types of horror, but with those being the two most recent horror movies that have come out, I think it works to compare.

There were some moments where it was dragging a bit, particularly the “searching via map” scenes, but I never felt bored.

I never played the game it was based off of, but the xray camera is such a unique design. Having to get up from the driver’s seat to see where you are going was interesting, especially when the view is such a rudimentary radiograph.

Overall, I would probably watch it again.

All Scruffy has learned from this thread is that he was actually correct and New Orleanians are retarded.
Always pronounced it Ih-ber-ville.

Never pronounced it eye-ber-ville.

:dunno:

Probably pronounced it wrong my whole life.
The good thing is, I’m not the target audience of these games anymore.

I don’t have the time to play games like this anymore.

I would spend $100 and never complete it.

I’ll stick with my indie games and BG3.

Who finds that alluring?

Why wouldn’t it be a girlcott movement, you sexist?!
All about itineraries, but they need to be flexible.

Outside of the major cities, this is a fact for China.

My brother in law lived there and my wife has visited.

Outside of your major cities, China is as 3rd world as they come.

In monetary value perhaps, but that imo misses the real value of studying something in higher ed. We let far too many in and dole out loans like crazy but that’s because people started to treat it like a job trainings program
True, there is value in studying many topics that may not have any significant monetary value, but these topics should be treated as merely ancillary study topics, never majors.

The concept of learning with no discernible gain outside of learning is admirable, but should not afford massive funding simply because it is learning therefore it deserves it.

The vast majority of social sciences should be viewed and treated as hobbies.
