Good to know.

I won’t respond to any future posts of his.
quote:

You said “delusion”. There’s no delusion.
It is 100% a delusion, and it is where your viewpoint fails.

It is the ONLY situation in all of psychiatry where we are expected to affirm the delusion.

You tell me why I am supposed to affirm this delusion, but I am not supposed to affirm the delusions of the individual who believes he is God or the delusions of the paranoid schizophrenic who says he sees and speaks to demons no one else can see?

What makes one different than the other?

I mentioned selective service. I didn’t know she didn’t know.

Who doesn’t know about selective service?

My delusion calculation is .0003%. That’s not even taking into account my good looks and rapier wit.
Scruffy is 0.86%, for obvious altitude reasons.

Mrs. Scruffy is a lucky gal.

Fox in Wanted
That movie wasn’t even related to the source material outside of “character shoots guns”, so I don’t think it even matters.

It wasn’t even a race swap since they didn’t even use the source material, IMO.

That movie sucked hard.

Wanna bet he should be in prison but was let off easy by a liberal judge?
Rap sheet a mile long most likely.

Suicidal empathy.
quote:

What are you confused about? His cause of death was not from losing blood outside of his body in pools. He wasn’t lying in a giant pool of blood while he was cuffed

You do know that you can bleed to death internally, right?

ETA: Maybe I misunderstood what you are trying to argue.

Also, I guarantee there was visible blood on the victim.

I’m partial to the classics- “We did it!” or “Today is the first day of the rest of our lives.”
This.

No one gives a shite about your politics at these events.

Pretty full of yourself to think that anyone there even really cares.

Everything about what you said in that quote is laughably, completely, and excruciatingly stupid. And I mean every single word of it.
Objectively stupid.

You do realize when boomers die all that cash and property will be left to wait for it

The younger generations. And they won’t have to even work for it. Though the boomers who sell their properties to private equity firms can frick right off. But on the flip side I’ve seen many spoiled millenials who could inherit a successful business built by a boomer and run it but they don’t want to do that much work.
This entire concept of the boomer wealth transfer is as debunked as the gender pay gap.
It is basically an alternate dimension “behind” our dimension.

In the lore, there isn’t really an escape.

There are other “levels”, but this movie involves “Level 0”, the most famous one.

Here is a description:
quote:

Often nicknamed "The Yellow Hell", Level 0 presents itself as a labyrinth resembling the back rooms commonly found in offices or retail outlets. It has earned its moniker from the sickly color of the wallpaper and mildew-ridden carpets that decorate the level.
quote:

Those unlucky enough to slip through the soft creases of reality might find themselves lost in the aberrant passages of Level 0. This is the first level of the Backrooms, and often the last for those who find their way in. Many are caught unprepared as they stumble through mile after mile of randomly segmented rooms, hallways, and stairs, each as grueling as the last. This becomes a torturous endeavor considering the mind-numbing monotony of the journey.
quote:

Infinity is incomprehensible to the human mind. And yet, it encapsulates every aspect of Level 0, from the variations in its architecture to its sprawling size. It feeds into its shattering emptiness, infecting the mind with malignant delirium, which slowly consumes one to their very core. The dark echoes of liminality grip one's heart, feeding the madness.

Those who enter become wanderers, trapped in a sea of isolation and paranoia, their lives often cut short by dehydration or starvation.
LINK

Imagine being stuck in a never ending office back area with annoying yellow, buzzing lights and slightly wet carpeting.

Would drive anyone insane.
This looks as if it may be legitimately good.

I’m excited.
quote:

DSLD homes
They aren’t building 1000 sqft homes.
quote:

The same house, half a mile away, across Causeway, would go for $300K
Which is still retardedly expensive.
quote:

Another major issue to me is the concept of a "starter home" is lost on this younger generation. When I think starter home i think of like 1000 SF, probably 2 bedrooms with maybe a full sized 2nd bathroom, no frills. Basically a place to call home while you're in your mid 20s.
How many times do we have to point out that those homes don’t exist anymore?

And the areas that do have those homes are generally shitholes.

The average home size has increased, yes, but it isn’t Gen Z or the Millenials building them.

The corporations are building them that size and it is all those generations have to purchase.

I mean that’s generally a fair predictor of whether a movie is successful. Once you get passed that first weekend.
Sure, but I’m am referencing the boosting of “ratings” on sites like IMDB and RottenTomatoes.

In this economy, I’m not spending money on a movie I don’t want to see just to boost its ratings on principal.
Oh, I’m not talking about ticket sales.

I’m just talking about ratings. They will be boosted or dropped simply to “own” the opposition.

Yeah there are lots of signals screaming this movie will have issues having nothing to do with casting.
The question now becomes, will it become another “cultural divide” issue where one side defends it to death despite its flaws?

If the only aspect that is hyper-analyzed initially is the casting, and that results in a “right vs left” division, will it be defended and will its ratings be elevated simply due to that?

That is almost always the trajectory in these situations.

I expect very high critic ratings no matter how good or bad the movie is.
quote:

And there is no fixing a lot of these people. But before we go the prison route, we should spend the money trying to get them clean.
If there is no criminal act, you cannot simply force them into these facilities.

We should be able to, but you cannot, largely because of progressives and progressive women.

It is the same as psychiatric issues. If they aren’t a threat to themselves or others, you cannot force them and, at best, you can hold them for 72 hours.

Our society is not willing to make the sacrifice in order to truly better this situation.

Therefore, we are left with 2 choices.
quote:

We should be sending these people to mass rehab facilities if we going to spend money housing them.
How dare you force them into rehabs against their will? It isn’t prison for breaking a law, therefore you cannot do it. Drugs are decriminalized. You can’t make do something I don’t want.

- Said every progressive ever

You cannot do that.

The stupidity of our society does not allow it.

So, again, we are back to the binary.

Take your pick.
