Also better slugging percentage, higher OBP, higher OPS. Basically every metric out there. In a less hitter friendly park.

They’re literally last in fielding percentage in the SEC. Does their home field affect their fielding as well. Maybe they just suck at fielding?
By the way, it was an actual talking point when talking about the series. Anyone with baseball knowledge knew we had a chance due to Tennessee’s deficiencies. Only the idiots were saying we stood no chance.

Both of these are serious issues that has plagued Tennessee significantly this season. I wouldn’t call them a miracle more than “that’s how Tennessee plays baseball.” Again the point you tried to make disproves your point. Pretty impressive lol.

That’s a very vague statement though. I’ll ask again, if a player turns his hips and the bat drops an inch from the starting point. Is that a swing? The rule is written to define what “starting a swing” means. It sounds like you want to just keep the same rule, but make the home plate umpire have authority of the call.

You’ve just described the current rule of the check swing. So you don’t want to make any changes? I’m confused on your point lol. For example, if a batter turns his hips and the bat barely drops, are you saying that should be a swing?

Texas is a very good team. Their ability to win close games is pretty amazing. We’ll see if it’s able to continue in the postseason. We know they’ll be home until Omaha so they won’t have to worry about it until then. I am interested to see how they perform in their first big road test.

No, he is saying to run through the bag. You’re essentially giving up yourself for an out, but you are turning it into a tagged out not a force out and therefore stealing a run. It’s hard to expect him make that split decision to do that, however, it has been done before in MLB
