You sound offended tbh.

I don’t tolerate this shite. His overall SEC winning % is like 5th in the conference. I’m not fooled by his Eli Manning type runs. I want someone that is consistently in the top of the league every year at a program with the resources of LSU.

Tell me wise one. Who do you suggest to replace him with?
Why would you ask random fans if a place they are not located at has a game on? I’d prob give you a blank stare as well thinking how the frick I’d know that lol. Kind of a weird question no?

Bro built the best program in the country and burned it all down in less than a year.

Nothing has been burned down. Yes we need to get to more consistency with being in contention of hosting every single year, but that wasn’t the case before this year anyway in recent times. We’re still going to be right there next year as long as we make the necessary changes in the offseason.

I think he’ll be shut down as well. I’m for taking whoever we think will legitimately be contending for major innings next year and giving them some legit starts and innings under there belt. Whether that be Paz or Ricken or whoever. Let them work and see what we got for next year.

Chasing that 9th championship does get difficult for sure. We’ll be back

I agree with him being pulled...I am just saying he needed to be better and give you more than 4 innings

This will be the main focal point in the offseason for him. He’s taken a big step up from last year and will hopefully do the same next year. He’s been good for the most part but needs to be more efficient.

When I talked about having Neal in the lineup instead of Yorke, I meant it would've lead to 3-5 more wins for the whole season...not just the last few weeks. As for how Neal could've coestisted with Bide, Serna, and Braun, I think moving Serna to 1B and letting Bide and Neal rotate between Catcher and DH could've worked. None of them are particularly good defensive Catchers.

I see. That I could get behind. I thought you meant SEC wins in particular in which I wasn’t sure about that.

Unfortunately with the new age of college athletics, going to cost to keep these guys. Their recent success is going to drive the price up.

We’ve yet to see it happen to LSU baseball yet. Not saying it can’t, but it’ll be interesting to see. We’ve lost guys but it’s never been someone who has already broken out and we really wanted to keep. That I can remember at least.

I would bet that having Neal in the lineup rather than Yorke this year alone would give us 3-5 more wins. I'd bet that having Mikey Ryan in the lineup at 2B this year would've led to another 3-5 more wins.

People keep bringing up Yorke as if he’s played lol. He hasn’t started in any of our last 3 weekends and we haven’t won a game. We were 6-6 with Yorke so I highly doubt changing him out for Neal would have made us 9-3 or 11-1. But also having Neal takes away Arrambide, Serna, or Braun for the lineup. Would have been a major difference? Not really. Those are our top hitters in SEC play.

They would all be elite pitchers on any other team.

What lol.
Ole Miss won 6 conference games following a natty just 3 years ago. Yall have short memories
He never ran his mouth. Another stupid post
This is stupid. Y’all act like this is the first year of this. We won the championship just last year and State hasn’t won anything this year. A few thousand dollars in revenue share doesn’t mean much at all.

Processed? Jay has proven unless he has a top 5 pick for Friday night we will struggle.

Coaches don’t win with good players. Who’d have thunk it lol. Saban is useless as well.
You can talk about the team and coaches (lots to talk about) without stating ignorant facts that are not true.
quote:

That’s just not true Mainieri never had rock bottom years at lsu His ceiling was limited as he got stale, but his down years were never remotely this bad

And I’d take Jay 10 times out of 10 because of this. Not really worth a discussion to compare him to Maineri. I was saying Dave Van Horn, MS State’s current coach, Sully, Ole Miss coach, etc have all had pretty horrible years. And all pretty sought after coaches.
Football is not baseball. Practically every modern baseball coach has had rather poor seasons. I do agree. I don’t like the seesaw action though.

Who scouts, recruits, coaches, and makes the lineups?

Jay and coaching staff. Same guys who have won multiple national titles.
We do not. Don’t really have much of a shot even with a win. We’d need 8 wins out of the next 9 games with two very good teams left to play.
