re: Cj Jackson to the portal

Not too much of a surprise given the number of d-line and edge we're bringing in, sucks but its the price you pay for bringing in guys like we are
That face paint alone just might be worth it  but based on the highlights and offers that seem to be coming in it looks like he would be worth it. I just wonder if we see him as a G as opposed to an OT.
Well, we will have Braelin Moore back, Solomon Thomas was a recruit who was supposedly better than Curne but was hurt, Weston Davis is back, so in theory those are three starters right there who should(I dont see how it gets worse) have better coaching and development and then I imagine we have some guys who we have contacted who either havent entered the portal or we are setting up visits with. Give it some time
He must have been asking for something stupid or been wanting to see what Dante Moore does
Stats wise yes, health wise yes, measurables wise no, and he was originally committed to Kiffin
Well, ive gathered that both QBs are heavily linked to both LSU and Oregon, Leavitt's agent is kind of a pain to work with so we might be trying to force his hand while also maybe going after somebody we want even more especially if we offered DW 6 million. Who knows whats actually going on at this point though, just lots of everybody trying to use leverage everywhere it seems
No I think we're definetly firmly in position to get him and this isnt a negotiation kind of thing, its been said we offered 2 million more and that there is nothing UW could do about it. Might be forcing Leavitt's hand given whats come out about his agent and us not wanting to he left at the alter.
Fair enough, im all for it, I want to see some offense after this past year and our inability to score more than 24 against P4 opponents
We are playing poker it seems and waiting to see who blinks first orrrrr we're somehow getting both. Who knows but were gambling baby :geauxtigers:
Too expensive and or doesnt fit Lanes style too well, he's more of a physical freak athlete than a really good technical WR if that makes sense
Probably not, but im just trying to figure out how were going to fill out our QB room is, need atleast 2 probably 3
If we pay 7 million for him then we are stupid, but if it's over two or three years I can get behind that. Need some QBs regardless
Makes me wonder how many WRs were really going to bring in or if this is a product of us not having confidence with some of those Ole Miss WRs
Makes me wonder if theyre going to get Tyree Adams back

Personally I want Perich. Dude is an absolute stud, no offense to Benefield who is an a stud but Perich can be the punt returner too. Cooper Dejean style of player

Well that makes me feel worse, but we will see I guess, I have a feeling we will get into a bidding war if needed. Hopefully we go after that OT from NC State and go after some of these other o-lineman and another good RB like Carter or the guy from Jacksonville State.

Happy youre excited and I feel good about Chaz Coleman. If he was going to do it then I think he wouldve already done it and that makes me think were either in a bidding war we wont lose or we got him. Regardless I feel good about it but I could wind up being wrong.
No duh dude. If hes not going #1 then the Jets are #2 and Mendoza has a better chance of going #1 than #2. So therefore the Jets would be in position to draft him and he would logically not want to go the Jets because the Jets have a terrible history at developing QBs.
Its been said if Dante Moore isnt going #1 he should return because I wouldnt want to go to the Jets either. QB graveyard
I wouldn't be entirely mad about it, I would like to see some changes and upgrades ofcourse but frankly I am putting a heavier burden on the offensive coaches just not being good. We had plenty of talent and it just never did anything whether it be due to coaching (The Oline, RBs to a degree) or just terrible play calling. Theres a few players in the portal such as Tyree Adams and Kyle Parker that I'd want to see get a legit shot with better coaching.
