I was hiding in a closet in forest hills, it took a slight turn north and missed our building but it shook like a damn earthquake.
Walking outside was wild. Houses taken off foundations, vehicles flipped over, some folks walking around dazed like zombies bleeding
Fraternity house on campus still had power so we packed some things and made the trek over there, crossing right through the middle of the path. Has to be the closest thing I can imagine a war zone looking like right after a huge artillery strike or a bombing. Just destruction everywhere

This is the most over exaggerated myth that exists in all of college football. Washington was an upstart themselves and beating them meant nothing. The myth of “Southern football finally getting respect because the Rose Bowl” was manufactured sometime in the 1980s around the same time bama created a bunch of fake national titles to try to counter the historic appeal that Notre Dame had the market on in those days. Georgia Tech’s 1917 team was far more widely regarded in that day as the best team the South had ever produced. They were proclaimed as the best team in the country by the New York Times a full decade before Alabama road a train out west to beat a literal upstart from the Pacific Northwest with zero program history or prestige at that point.
And this folks, is your classic bitter melt from a jealous boog :rotflmao:

Carrying capacity on a landscape and how animal populations need to be managed is an inconceivable idea to many here.

Didn’t Indiana just prove to everyone that it’s not about talent and draft picks?
It’s about coaching and having a team of 24 year old mercenaries now, same as college bball.

So much shite talking by Jokic fans this year. He was why they lost tonight. And has always taken cheap shots at players. No one wanted to hear it though.
He only lead the league in assists and rebounds for the first time in the history of the league in the same season. Nobody has even done that in separate seasons. The “shite talking” is justified.
That “shot” on Jaden wasn’t cheap, it’s been done all throughout history of the NBA. If a game is won and a player scores at the last second to rub it in, the opposing team always gets pissed I’m. Not justifying it, I’m just saying it gets done all the time.
I’m also not defending his bad play of the past 3 games when I say this, but besides Jamal, nobody is doing anything. Jokic has had multiple 30, 40, and even a 50 point triple double against the Wolves in the past and they’ve still lost those games.
They do a great job of mitigating his great games against them and then also shutting everyone else down when he’s off. They have the Nuggets number no question about it.

Game too lake Jokic, should’ve punked Jaden to open game 3 after his comments and taken the flagrant to set the tone
Wolves have done nothing but punk the Nugs. McDaniels called them out by name after Game 2, they do nothing and get blown out. Now he scores with a second left in another beat down to rub it in
At least Jokic showing some fight but like I said, it’s too late
They’ve been punked, it’s over

The Madison praise and complaint

Search function freakin sucks on mobile I went back a couple pages maybe I’m an idiot and missed it
Anyways, The Madison is good, maybe Sheridan’s best writing when it’s just the Clyburns and Kurt Russell writing to Michelle Pfeifer.
But my gosh Sheridan writes Montanans like they are from Alabama or Texas. I live in northern Colorado, been to Montana many times. They don’t talk like Texans. There is no “mam” no “sir”. They aren’t backwoods hicks like south alabamans.
They have the accents of Canadians for the most part, sure they are nice, the ranchers and hunters I know are good folk. But it’s so obnoxious how he writes them like they are still living in the 80s with no restaurants and no contact with the outside world.
“What do you do for dates around here?”
“Well, we can float the river or ride horses into the mountains”
frick off, the Madison river valley is close to Bozeman and Big Sky. There are restaurants, theaters, sporting events, etc,
The show is great focusing on the grief of losing Preston, but when it divulges into the locals it’s so eye rolling and over the top.
Anyways rant over, good show otherwise

It just doesn’t matter, the defense is so bad, can we hire Thibs? Idc if he runs us into the ground I need decent defense to watch

Yea, this is all bullshite. None of these guys give a frick about conservation.
Of course they do, if it weren’t for conservation there’s nothing to hunt.
You place value on a resource and people will want to maintain and grow that resource.
Ernie spent thousands of thousands on Africa trips I’d bet. That money helps the local agencies protect and provide habitat for animals such as the yellow backed duiker.
Again I ask, what have you spent to help the yellow backed duiker thrive?

A lot of idiots are going to be celebrating this “got what he deserved” yada yada yada
Ol Ernie contributed more to the conservation of African animas than a million “anti-hunting” nut jobs have combined.
I’ll ask the pathetic losers in this thread what money they’ve sent to Africa for conservation?
Guys like Ernie are the reason a lot of those species are still alive and not extinct/endangered.
