I know LSU fans will say Burrow but other than his last year he was average.

I don’t like ut but Peyton Manning is a candidate. Dan Marino was great. Who are other candidates?

Before he flaked out, Johnny Football was pretty fun to watch. I would tune in just to watch him play without even caring about the game. Can't remember the last time I did that with a CFB player.

Burrow had a short offseason in 2018. His last 4 games after the bama beatdown he was really good.

Of course that was against crappy teams. Like arky, aggy, and ucf

Tebows Career is hard to argue

If Bryce young wins the heisman again he has an argument

Best player ever is Cam or Burrow

Best season ever is Burrow

It's Timmy. I'm probably not supposed to say that because it's "homer", but it's true. GOAT.

In college ? Hard to argue against Tebow. Two National Championships, one as the starting QB. A Heisman. Three year starter.

1) Vince Young
2) Cam Newton
3) Tim Tebow
4) Mac Jones
5) Tommie Frazier
6) Peyton Manning
7) Eli Manning
8) John Elway
9) Charlie Ward
10) Joe Montanna

Honorable mention: Hefty Lefty just for being so good for a fat guy
Tom Brady, because Michigan was too stupid to know what they had.

Depends on which era you want to talk about. The qbs of yesteryear obviously couldn't put up the numbers you see today.

Since 2000 I'd go with Tebow or Burrow.

90s I'd go with Tommy Frazier.

I'm not old enough to remember dominant qbs of the 70s and 80s.

Went back and watched a lot of 2018 burrow. It’s crazy how much the receivers and offense was just a tick off . Like multiple plays every game that were dropped passes or passes a hair off . It did so much when they opened up that offense and the explosion of receiving talent

You could tell it was gonna be a big year in 2019 just not that big

I don't know. They're about the same to me(Young and Newton). Guess I could've used pro career as a tie breaker and went with Newton. Both would beat you with their legs or arm and let you choose.

Oh I just saw your Burrow. OP already mentioned Burrow, who is clearly number 1. My list is one with him omitted, as well as Dan Marino.

You couldn't let him stand in the pocket because he had an arm.

You couldn't flush him because he was the fastest, most elusive man on the field.

Knocked Bo Jackson off the cover of SI. Literally. Bo Jackson was supposed to be the cover story for this issue.

Nah, I edited my reply. I read the OP as already naming Burrow and Marino, which is why I didn't include them. I forgot OP already mentioned Peyton, however.

What’s a QB that won the NC or Heisman, and literally had a poor defense? Most of the best QB’s had above average defenses, maybe Lamar Jackson was the team? I’m going with Lamar Jackson, he tore A&M up that year too sheesh
