Every OC Saban has hired, including Sarkisian and Kiffen, were predicted to fail, even a lot of Alabama fans thought that.

There are like a hundred forums at this website. A non trash talk football board isn’t one of them but a music board is. Off topic too for that matter. Actually 2 of them.

The spring game rarely shows much of anything. Practices, sure, but the Aday game is just to entertain fans.

I have no idea what to expect but it seems every OC Saban has hired has been criticized by a good many rivals and Alabama fans alike, including Kiffin and Sarkisian, and most of them worked out ok. Alabama fans , including me, give Kelly grief, but he knows the guy better than any of us so I suppose it’s a good sign that he wanted to hire the fellow. Edit to say I guess its a good sign he hired the fellow at ND and then wanted to bring him along to LSU
Oh yeah, and i do like that he’s a quarterback coach and not just an OC that coaches the qbs because there isn’t a qb coach to do it. The years we had for real qb coaches like Enos, Kiffin, and Sarkisian the qbs seemed to improve. Makes sense they would.

LSU closed nearly 300 reported sexual assaults without discipline in one year
Posted by C W on 2/3/23 at 7:40 pm
Nearly 300 sexual assaults that were reported to Louisiana State University between October 2021 and September 2022 were closed without disciplinary action, according to the university's latest reports reviewed by Fox News Digital.
The university's handling of sexual assault accusations is under a microscope after sophomore Madison Brooks was fatally hit by a car after an alleged rape on Jan. 15, less than two years after a bombshell report by USA Today about LSU's mishandling of sexual assault cases.
The newspaper's report, titled "LSU mishandled sexual misconduct complaints against students, including top athletes," was published in November 2020 and forced internal changes, including a voluminous report in 2021.
There were 182 sexual assaults reported to LSU between Oct. 1, 2021, and March 3, 2022, and 126 reported sexual assaults between April 1, 2022, and Sept. 30, 2022, according to the reports.

Of the 308 total cases, 282 didn't result in any disciplinary action, and more than 80% were closed for three reasons: "complainant not responsive to outreach," "complainant requested supportive measures only" or the "complainant requested no further action."

Right. Along with the recruiting violations, providing hookers for recruits, forcing an 8th grade girl to change tops in his office, trying to coerce women to females not to pursue sexual charges against offenders at Liberty, among whatever else. And Auburn won’t discuss any of it.

Yeah. This guy is the only news source that has reported about Freeze’s lack of character.
The worse news is Auburn won’t comment on how Freeze was vetted. No telling how much more ugly stuff will come to light.

Auburn football: Reporter rips AU for not commenting on Hugh Freeze-coached player’s charges
by Andrew Hughes22h ago
Auburn football head coach Hugh Freeze has many skeletons in his closet from his past at Briarcrest Christian in Memphis, Ole Miss, and Liberty — some of which have come to life and made the hiring process to get him onto the Plains a PR nightmare.
There was one controversy that largely went unnoticed until January 27, the day of a court appearance for Liberty tight end Jerome Jackson. Jackson was accused of stalking an ex-girlfriend that worked in the Flames athletic department.
Inside Higher Ed reporter Josh Moody pushed the story into focus Friday morning when he ripped Auburn University over several tweets for not commenting on the matter after he reached out:
Former Liberty University football player Jerome Jackson will be in a Lynchburg court today on stalking charges that were filed during the 2022 season. He missed no playing time under Coach Hugh Freeze.
Neither @LibertyU or @AuburnU will talk about it.
I reached out to Liberty to ask if they were aware Jackson had been charged with stalking and if LU took any disciplinary action. Liberty won’t answer. But Jackson played in every game of the 2022 season: (https://t.co/KQOVEnepTm)

I also reached out to Auburn to ask if they were aware of this stalking charge and if Freeze’s handling of the matter was considered in their vetting process. But Auburn is unwilling to answer my questions about Freeze or its vetting process.
Critics of the Liberty football program and of Hugh Freeze have also tried to initiate conversations about incidents at Liberty under Freeze’s leadership. But Auburn is unwilling to have those conversations.

Jackson is getting his day in court. He is presumed innocent until proven guilty, of course. But the incident raises a lot of hard questions about Hugh Freeze, Liberty, and Auburn. Questions no one will answer.
Notably, though, the ruling went in Jackson’s favor. Questions about what Freeze ignored about his player’s conduct for the sake of competition at Liberty will most certainly linger still, though, due to his notorious DMs with a sexual assault victim at LU.
What would make Hugh Freeze a public enemy of Auburn football
Hugh Freeze has earned himself a great deal of goodwill from his recruiting success, but his past risky behaviors need to be tabled if he wants to avoid being a public enemy of Auburn football fans.
AU is offering redemption to Freeze. If he blows it and exhibits any behaviors that justify the backlash to his hiring in November, he’ll lose plenty of Tiger fans that take the Auburn Creed seriously.

He improved a lot that year with Dan Enos then more with Riley. He is the hardest worker i ever watched. On the flip side Tua was more talented but had that horrible injury luck and still does.

He was a good qb coach for Alabama that one year but evidently got p. oed when he didn’t get the OC job. He also actually admitted that Saban’s work schedule was too much.
