Doug Flutie won a Heisman at Boston College of all places.

If your going to make a list of college QBS , then is it just college or NFL; because if it’s both then Tebow , Frazier, Young, and Ward don’t belong.. but if it’s just college; then you may want to check the stats…. Cause Aaron Murray was better than Peyton and Eli! His defense just let him down in 2012 in the SECCG.. could stop the run in the second half..

First of all mentioning Peyton was my mistake because OP had already mentioned him. I simply tried to give him 10 more choices because he asked for more choices. As for Aaron Murray, he was the one who threw a short pass and didn't give his team enough time to go for a winning play. That loss is on him. And he does not belong on this list, he was a choker.

It's not AJ McCarron if you're talking about the most talented QB, but at the end of the day, he's a Heisman runner-up that owns 3 NC rings. How many other QBs in college football history have 2 NC rings as a starter? Tebow has 2 rings, but one was with Leak as the starter. Plenty of QBs had huge single seasons. Now talent wise, AJ is not in the top 5 of just Bama QBs... although he was underrated...but not many out there walking around with 3 natty rings...as in, no one else.

That's one other QB with 2 rings...any other QBs own 3 total?

AJ actually got a ring for 09 despite being a RS? Oof.

GoAT Coach's favorite player of all time was Pat Trammell.

Maybe a "game manger", but he managed a good game.

Also he was fricked out of the heisman his Junior and Senior year

Danny Wuerffel: 3,625 Yards & 39 TDs, 12-1 SEC & National

Peyton Manning: 3,287 Yards, 20 TDs, 10-2 Citrus Bowls Win

Yes, Peyton was robbed of a Heisman in 1996

I love how Vols will say that Heismans supposedly don't matter yet they're still crying 25 years later over some supposed slight.

other than his last year he was average.

He played two years. First was as a transfer offensively coordinated by an old dude with a generic offense and assload of dropped passes where you still saw his magic shine and beating damned good teams. Under Orgeron.

If Tommie Frazier doesn’t exist, the answer is Kordel Stewart.

Tommie Frazier

That team that absolutely destroyed the Danny Wuerffel
led UF team in the NC still gets my vote as the best I'd ever seen.

Wuerffel would be in my top 5.

I swear...because they knew he was going to pass every play and still couldn't stop him...I would have Eric Zeier at or near the top of my list.

He is #6 on the SEC passing attempts list...and only played in 44 games (and threw for over 11,000 yards). Here is the all-time SEC attempts list.

Drew Lock - 1553 attempts in 50 games (31 per game)
Jared Lorenzen - 1514 attempts in 43 games (35 per game)
Aaron Murray - 1478 attempts in 52 games (28 per game)
Chris Leak - 1458 attempts in 51 games (29 per game)
David Greene - 1440 attempts in 51 games (28 per game)
Eric Zeier - 1402 attempts in 44 games (32 per game)

Only Lorenzen averaged more attempts per game, but Zeier had a higher completion percentage and threw for nearly 1,000 more yards in 100 fewer attempts.

Ok...I'm trying to use stats to justify my choice...but as a pure passer...he was one of my favorite QBs to ever watch that didn't play for my team.

Elway.
Farve could have been, if he had gone to a school with real football players that got on tv once in a while.
