There are some schools here in OK with a sign out front that says that the staff is armed and will defend their students.
A few of the schools I've taught at I was pretty sure there were people at the school that were armed but nothing was said. ...

You have to royally frick up to get fired from teaching now days. With a massive shortage of teachers now, a lot of schools are wary of letting teachers go. Several of the positions at the school are adjunct because we couldnt find teachers to fill all our open slots. ...

Ive been in education in OK for over 20 years. We arent payed great, but i make it. Teaching and coaching is a calling. I sure as hell dont do it for the money. I had a chance right out of college to make 15k more than im making now but turned it down. I cant see myself doing anything else. ...
