re: Florida and Napier

I'm no Napier nut hugger at all, but the lion's share of our best talent is underclassmen. And they guys that could have gone pro and been high round picks, like Caleb Banks, decided to return and help to try and continue to create upward trajectory and momentum for the program. This is the "prove it" year for Napier, no doubt, but the program showed signs of life in the second half of the season. They're talented and need to take the next step.
It depends on who can sign their name on the UDFA contract fastest I'd suppose. :dunno:

He might be a 4th rounder with his own last name at this rate.

Lung cancer, yep, unfortunately I know it well. Took my beloved momma 8 years ago, just an indescribable pain. Prayers of healing and comfort to your friend and everyone who loves her.

Denzel Aberdeen to UK.

Congrats, Cats, but this still doesn't make any damn sense. You're the enemy now, Denzel. He's a good player, y'all are gonna love him.

9-3 is my pick, but it could EASILY go south and unravel big time. But I'll give SlingBilly the benefit of the doubt that he's turned the corner, hopefully he doesn't prove me dead wrong.
1997 Sugar Bowl vs. Free Shoes, still an absolute pinnacle memory for me. Still the only sporting event I've attended with both my parents, strangely enough.
Bizarre thread, my word. Football can't get here fast enough.

That's not a thing.
in the "3 and 3 Club" (At least three National Championships in the two major revenue sports)

Michigan and Ohio State both have football squared away and a Natty in basketball a piece, but I have a somewhat hard time believing either will be winning multiple b-ball natty's in the near future, although Dusty May is a hell of coach.

My only pick is actually Texas. Even though they haven't won one yet, they've come close. And they have the financial muscle and infrastructure to build it there. The right coach, the ACTUAL right coach, could win 3 basketball National Championships at Texas in relatively short order.
Florida State, by a million. Trash all around.

Then Mutt, then Miami.
I think he is what he generally has always been, a solid coach. He'll win between 9 and 11 games, sometimes make a more substantial run, but almost certainly will never win it all. But to answer your question, yes, I think he's a significant upgrade over Orgeron, despite the National Championship.

That's the thing, I genuinely don't like it at all. I kinda wish I did, because I know we're perennially quite good at it, but it is just something I've never enjoyed at all, and quite honestly put it in a similar tier of things that I don't understand how other people enjoy, such as Soccer, Golf, and automobile racing. If it's your thing, great, but you will never, ever rile me up by telling me the baseball team stinks when I legitimately couldn't tell you who the starting pitcher is.
Why do you like skinnyfat white boys named Chandler be "safe at home"?

"Ball four!" *Does weird dance probably* *Soccer mom in the stands* "Good eye, Chandler! Good eye!"

Imagine being 1-11 in SEC baseball.

Imagine caring about baseball.
I can't even fathom how much that would suck, nothing but pain and misery.

You just couldn't possibly make me care about a bunch of skinnyfat suburban white boys named "Chad, Conner, and Carson" hitting a ball with an aluminum stick while an old man dressed like a robot with dress slacks decides if they get to be "safe at home". No thanks, just give me a root canal instead.
My god, it's terrible.

At least I get to enjoy my Gators winning a Natty, but this wait for football will be BRUTAL.

Who gives a shite about your ping ping and Cracker Jack. And we have one of those too, and I swear to god I'm not trolling, I don't remember the exact year. I just know it was within the last decade.
