Nah, I edited my reply. I read the OP as already naming Burrow and Marino, which is why I didn't include them. I forgot OP already mentioned Peyton, however.

Peyton started as a freshman and stayed for his senior year, those 2 things will likely never happen again

I don’t like ut but Peyton Manning is a candidate.
Peyton is not a candidate. 0 Heismans, 0 National Championships, 1 Conference Championship, and 0-3 in their biggest annual game against UF.

Lamar Jackson was Kentucky's MVP in '16. Three INTs, one fumble. I'm surprised NFL teams don't play him like Houston, Kentucky, and other teams did in college. Pressure up the middle. Keep the edge more shallow and outside of him.

Danny Wuerffel was the best college QB I ever saw in person, until Burrow 2019 showed up.
Wuerffel and Spurrier were pretty much unstoppable save for that Nebraska game.

Oh snap! I forgot him. He was awesome in college and should be mentioned. You know, I never thought anybody would hire him for tv after his bad publicity, and trouble with his dog fighting business. But I must say, he makes a pretty good NFL commentator.

Okay so this is where I’ll defend Jackson, who else was on his team?
How much talent did he have in college?
When you talk about the great QBs that won a NC in college like Vince Young, Burrow, those teams were littered with draft picks, you put Jackson on an NFL team with some weapons, he turned out good, and that impresses me, is he the best QB in college? Nope. But I finna show him and probably RG3 (hate the guy tho) love bc they were the whole team imo

I’m partial to the qbs who were not the biggest or most talented but were winners. One of the best games I’ve seen was when Doug Flutie beat Miami with the Hail Mary, heck of a game. That kid was all heart.

Depends on which era you want to talk about. The qbs of yesteryear obviously couldn't put up the numbers you see today.
I am assuming you meant they did not have the chance to prove they could put up todays numbers.
I don't believe Marino was that great of a college QB, but if you could pick one guy who is infinitely more suited for todays game than that of the era he played, it would be him. Also, Jim Kelly to a lesser extent.

Imagine that... a bama fan not having Burrow on his list, but has Mac Jones and ELI MANNING
