Spin off thread. I can't think of any really. Maybe the AD at Texas or UGA

I think you're doing okay if your AD is anyone but Hunter Yurachek.

Be thankful. A crappy AD can ruin a department. See Joe Dean at LSU

Danny White is great. However he let Vitello walk

I would say maybe the UGA AD
I like verge but he has to be in the position for awhile to move up the ladder

No one here gives a damn how Texas does in Water Polo and Women’s Underwater Basket Weaving brotha

Homerism aside, I do think Keith Carter has done a great job. I was really skeptical initially about another "within the family" hire.

Yes, we acknowledge you have scoreboard on us in FB and Baseball - give you that. But keep telling yourself you wouldn't like to win one lol... And how does your Athletic Dept compare to other sports not considered basket weaving and polo.
Used Bama posters list from above - but added volleyball.
Women's VB Final 8
W Basketball: NCAA Final 4
M Basketball: NCAA sweet 16
Baseball: CWS
Softball: WCWS Champions
Football: 10 wins

I think you have to look at overall financial success as well as success of the athletic teams.

Danny White has brought Tennessee back from the dead.

We're going on 7 years. Since KC took the gig over we've:
Won a natty in baseball, made Omaha another time. KC is actually holding Bianco accountable rather than auto-rolling over his contract like the previous ADs.
Sweet Sixteen and Round of 32 appearance from a pretty dead basketball program. Splash hire in Chris Beard.
Had the guts to hire Lane Kiffin would no one outside of Arkansas did. Unprecedented success and CFP appearance in football. Navigated an unprecedented coach leaving scenario without impacting on the field results.
Softball made a super and OKC for the first time in program history.
Hired Coach Yo who turned Ole Miss from a perennial doormat in women's basketball into a program that has made 5 straight NCAA tourneys.
Most importantly, he's worked extremely well with Walker Jones on the Grove Collective side and has great relationships with big time donors who are clearly contributing to Ole Miss athletics in a big way. He's not sitting around to wait and see what other departments do, he's helping innovate and lead the way and has kept Ole Miss ahead of several of the crazy changes that have happened since he was hired in 2019.
