Alright I could be wrong but once the news drops I expect an eat crow post from you. I’ll do the same
This guy on X, Tyler Daigle has been spot on with a bunch of news in regards to LSU sports. Leavitt, Seaton, Wade, and now he just tweeted Kim Mulkey is retiring after the end of the year.

Go look at his stats. He has 13k in like 30 at bats. Can’t have that

He’s better than you and I. Calm down, Jay Johnson knows ball
Yorke is struggling probably first time ever in his baseball career. A lot of mental pressure let’s see how he responds
That’s why you play a full game bud, nice try
He’s not wrong. I’ve seen people like Fuentes, Stew Peters and others using it
921,606 dollars lost

Women’s basketball lost $7,961,247

Football profited 64,399,300 dollars

Men’s basketball profited 2,520,538
How about the fact that neighboring states make billions by extracting natural resources from Louisiana and the fact that we are home to some of the largest industrial markets in the world.

Post your lineup through 17 games

I’ll post mine
1. Curiel CF
2. Milam SS
3. Brown RF
4. Arrambide C
5. Yorke 1B
6. Dardar 2B
7. Carraway 3B
8. Stanfield LF
9. Simpson DH

* tight leash Dardar, Simpson and Braun. Braun is another option to get in
It’s certainly not ideal for the baseball team to go through these growing pains. One has to put into perspective a few things. 1) Baseball is a game of failure. Right now in the last several games the bats have cooled off. In Jacksonville people were not freaking out as LSU was beaten multiple NCAA tournament teams. 2) Replacing a lot of pitchers from last year. The weekend staff has consistently improved each weekend. 3) Jay has a lot of options to pick from. He is using this part of the year to sort out the top 10-12 pitchers as well as position players. 4) it’s a long season and baseball is a sport where like you don’t have to go 45-11 or 40-16 in the regular season to get on a roll.

Come SEC play you need to win at least 14 sec games and you’ll make the postseason. This team is capable of that. You have multiple All American level players in Curiel and Brown. Pitchers with tons of talent.

Last thing, be patient if there’s a coach in the country who knows the game it’s Jay Johnson. Guys he has literally won 2 championships in 4 seasons. He is on pace if he stays here for say 15-20 years to be better than Skip.. don’t freak out
I’m speculating. Based on his comments, I think Jay just wants the athletic department to be as committed to baseball as he is.

Read the whole interview and that’s what I can take away.
The solution is to cut MBB’s rev and Women’s BB’s rev by small percentages and let other programs who are already elite stay elite.

Gymnastics and Baseball.
Jay could take another job if another school will offer him more support and resources. It’s a money race
He literally is referring to rev share. He says we are not there yet
