Mid 90s. Then I became obsessed when Deuce McAllister started playing well at Ole Miss.

When I visited my senior year. My high school had many teachers from A&M and many students that went on to go there. I took a visit to Austin, loved the campus in the middle of the city and it became my choice.

I come from an LSU family, so at a young age I was a fan, but didnt really begin to care much until I was 11, LSU vs UF 1997 the big upset over the #1 gators in a night game in death valley
As soon as we won my dad took off for the pond behind the house and dove right in, my buddy and I followed right after. Pitch black, gators all up in that pond too

1984, I was 10 years old and Black Magic was sweeping Gamecock Country. I remember having a $1 bet with a classmate on the Carolina-Clemson game that year and listening to the game on the radio at my grandfather's store, sweating that dollar bet! We missed an extra point to remain tied but Clemson had a penalty and we won with a re-kick. I reminded my buddy every day for the next week.

Yes. Our seats were on the goal line in the south endzone, like I said, on the top row. My dad and his friends would be standing up there throwing ice down on visiting fans telling them to shut up when they cheered.

Nah, think 1970s/80s rigid Pentecostalism.
Anything that brought joy was a sin, and I was young enough, and innocent enough, to believe it was true. Wasn’t until much later I realized I was the only one playing by the rules.

There was a sect of them type moved off down here from Callaway County. There was a redhead who had about a 14 hand pony. Rode it everywhere a sidesaddle.
Wild don't even begin to describe her. These people weren't Amish. They were full blown tongue speakin bench jumpers.

79 as a kid listening to my dad cuss about the Gators while he was listening to the game on the radio. We didn't win a game that season.

2004. Shula's second year, I was 11. Bama/UF family, dad fell on Bama side, that's what we watched on Saturdays.
