when did you become a fan?

I was a fan from about as young as I can remember. No one in my family was into sports, but I played all the available sports when I was a kid and was always a fan of UK.

1987.

That was a big part of it for me. A kid from our neighborhood high school was a local hero and got a scholarship to Mizzou. That was before the 15 year hellscape that started around 1983.

Mid 1970’s.

We didn’t have the money to travel to BR from north Louisiana, but my Grandmother had an old AM radio that she would let me use on Saturday nights to listen to the games.

Something about those four notes hooked me, even as a child.

Same. For us old heads, I have great memories of listening to games on the radio. Before the early 2000s, Missouri was never on tv. Maybe once per year max. It was a different experience, but I really liked it. It's hard to pass up a game on the big screen now, but I will occasionally listen to a game and run errands.

The early 70's.

When I went my first game in The Swamp.

Grew up a Louisville Cards fan.(born in Louisville) Moved here when I was 8. Went to the UF-UK game. Instant feel in love with the Swamp at 10. Never saw a fanbase so crazy for their team in my life. Was hooked instantly. Lets just say SEC fanbase passipn is much greater than some other conferences.
