This post is just as moronic as the OP.

Lighten up, there are 5 months until football and literally everyone knew this thread was moronic sarcasm.

NIL has neutered the SEC in the 2 big money sports

Arkansas hasn’t been neutered as they’ve never had balls.

Didn’t yall win the SEC rasslin' championship tho?

At this point, I’m pretty sure we couldn’t win any championship in a one team conference. But it’s been fun seeing all the nice responses and well wishes from our SEC brothers.

It’s great to be loved.
BREAKING: Shockwaves Across College Football as Missouri Leads Formation of New Power Conference

COLUMBIA, MO — In a move that’s sending tremors through the college athletics world, the Missouri Tigers are reportedly at the center of a bold new superconference initiative that could redefine the balance of power in college sports.

Sources close to the situation say Missouri—long respected but often underestimated—is emerging not just as a participant, but as the driving force behind what insiders are calling the “Heartland Athletic Conference” (HAC). The proposed league is already being described as a “perfect storm” of tradition, geography, and rising dominance.

And make no mistake—this whole thing runs through Columbia.

Why Missouri?

Athletic directors and media insiders alike point to Missouri’s unique positioning: elite facilities, a rabidly loyal fanbase, strong NIL infrastructure, and a program that has quietly built consistency in the brutal gauntlet of the Southeastern Conference.

“Missouri has been playing chess while others played checkers,” one anonymous Power Five AD said. “They’ve got SEC toughness, Midwest identity, and zero fear about leading.”

Recent top-15 finishes, explosive recruiting pipelines, and a defense widely considered one of the most physical in the country have only strengthened their case. In short: Mizzou isn’t just ready—they’re built for this moment.

The Proposed Heartland Athletic Conference (HAC)

According to multiple reports, the HAC would bring together a lethal mix of historic programs and proven winners. The updated rumored lineup includes:
• Missouri Tigers (Flagship program)
• Nebraska Cornhuskers
• Kansas State Wildcats
• Iowa Hawkeyes
• Arkansas Razorbacks
• Oklahoma State Cowboys
• Illinois Fighting Illini
• Michigan Wolverines
• Ohio State Buckeyes
• Penn State Nittany Lions
• Wisconsin Badgers
• Notre Dame Fighting Irish

This 12-team structure now reads like a murderer’s row of blue-bloods and battle-tested contenders. Analysts say it wouldn’t just compete with top conferences—it could become the top conference overnight.

A Conference Built in Missouri’s Image

What makes this especially compelling is how perfectly the league seems tailored to Missouri’s identity. Hard-nosed defense. Physical line play. Smart, disciplined football. And just enough edge to make opponents uncomfortable for four quarters.

“They’re the culture-setter,” said one national analyst. “If you want to know what this conference will look like, watch Missouri. They are the blueprint.”

There are even whispers that the conference headquarters could be based in Columbia—a symbolic and strategic nod to Missouri’s leadership role.

What Happens Next?

While nothing is official, insiders suggest momentum is accelerating. Media rights discussions are already rumored to be in early stages, and university presidents are expected to meet discreetly in the coming weeks.

If it happens, this wouldn’t just be another round of realignment.

It would be a statement.

And at the center of it all? Missouri—no longer overlooked, no longer in the background—but stepping fully into the spotlight as a program ready to lead a new era of college athletics.
And a 4-12 record against Mizzou all time.

You’re not mid

Careful, hairy back. We’ve won 75% of the 16 games against your sad sack football team.
It’s sad that this conference doesn’t appreciate us. We do everything in our power to win everything but championships. You should thank us.
quote:

You have embarrassed us too many times to count. Please leave.

We’d apologize, but we’ve never been expected to contribute, so your embarrassment is misplaced.
We thought this was the best conference for us to be mid in. We were sold a lie.

Woe to the SEC. Woe, Woe, and Woeeeee!

SEC needs to exorcise the demons!

You missed all those Big 8 basketball titles from the 80s and 90s with Norm? Obviously we didn’t really do anything in March, but you did live for some major conference titles

Vaguely. I looked it up and it looks like we won three conference championships this century across all sports. Since joining the SEC in 2012, Mizzou has never won a conference championship in any sport.

The worst part is we’ve never really been close.
I’ve been a Mizzou supporter since the mid 1970s, I can’t remember a conference title in any major sport. This is typical Mizzou. The administration and coaches keep asking for more funding, but there are never any results. It seems to be a culture thing.

The fan base is tired.

Missouri State will probably make it to the football playoffs and the Final Four in basketball before Mizzou does.

Consider this season’s unwavering trajectory upward, Missouri’s gonna win it all.

Miami and Purdue should just stay home.

we can't all stay close to home as a 10

Shows we run this bitch.

Hahaha, that worked out for Mizzou. All the First Four talk made me think they'd get Miami(OH) in Dayton. What a nice break! M-I-Z

This team is likely one and done. Infuriating to watch.

tbh I don't think Missouri ran from Texas. Missouri has no reason to hate Texas; we barely know each other. Missouri is probably the biggest winner in all of this. You should be rotting in the Big 12 but Slive needed another team and when the lights came on after closing time, there you were. To their credit, Missouri also voted against all the things that they rail on the Big 12 for today, unlike hypocrites Nebraska and Texas A&M, who voted in lock-step with Texas on everything.

This Mizzou fan loathes Oklahoma and couldn’t care less about Texas. Okie are the biggest cheaters on the planet, and exist to service their big bros in Austin.

Also, the idea that the current cluster that comprises the Big 12 is equal to those who departed is pure trolling hilarity.

The conference was on life support for years afterward, and it took the PAC exploding to keep it remotely competitive.

Don’t beat yourself up like that. Mizzou has also lost to some poor teams (Notre Dame, LSU, Mississippi).

True.

Also true that you are a passionate Mizzou fan. Or obsessive. Take your pick.
Saw that one coming. Basketball eerily following the football pattern this year.

Win against mid and poor teams.

Lose to quality teams.
The talking heads seem to believe the winner will be in the tournament. Not so sure.
