What may have happened at Texas AM

Is Sankey said that Texas and OU were coming, and AM said no. It is not Sankey's or Texas AM's call, but the rest of the conference.
Like we know One School, One Vote. Now Texas Am is trying to sue? That will get them nowhere. This is a good lesson for Texas, the SEC is not the Big 12. You can threaten to sue, but you will be laughed at.
The power in the SEC is not in the SEC's office, it is with the schools.

That remains to be seen.
I can’t for the life of me imagine a scenario where the university’s legal counsel would bring litigation unless they had cause.
At present, all sources point to facts simply being gathered, as would be expected with any large organization.

I think you’re right that they ultimately decline to pursue any legal action, because there’s likely nothing to pursue.
But I also think it’s possible, if not likely, that this is just as much political theatre as it is genuine information gathering. It’s pretty clear that Texas A&M wants the public to know that they are displeased.

I think your synopsis is as good as any.

If the rumor is true about Skanky working this deal for months without disclosing to the member schools, his a** has some splaining to do.

Moving to the big 12 is Aggies only chance at the playoff
I think they have to take it

You might need to move your brain from your arse. I think you need to take it.

I agree. This seems like very much along the lines of 'forming a congressional committee to investigate'. Once the dust settles, everyone will be fine. I certainly don't think anyone's leaving over this, and I don't believe A&M has any grounds to sue

Yeah, that would be a dick move. Even if he's been working with the rest of the schools and keeping TAMU in the dark, it's still a dick move.

Don't.
Just Don't.
Aggie Regents are in full-on little bitch mode. Don't soil yourself defending them.

How does Florida keep FSU out?
Do the have a coalition with enough teams who want to keep additional schools from their respective states out as well or some other kind of informal agreement with schools who may want something else for their support?

No, it was a witty response to yours. Must have sailed over your head. Pretty typical when dealing with you if I recall.

Nope. You aren’t reading this correctly. But keep trying, you’ll get there.

You misunderstood—or I poorly worded my opinion.
I’m defending no one.
I read Monday’s agenda, and the Regents are meeting with university counsel to discuss what’s up.
If nine governor-appointed Regents act as fools/disregard legal advice (again, that would be suicidal), I’ll call them out with haste.

Honestly, it seems like Florida and South Carolina would be aTm’s best hope at sinking this deal for that exact reason. They would need some combination of those two plus Mizzou/Arky to vote no.
That said, FSU and (especially) Clemson are in a much better situation. As much as we all like to shite on the ACC as a football conference, it’s a great basketball conference with stability and it’s own shiny new network deal.
