Yes, poor Sam, he was 4” taller than Dwayne but had no answer, LOL.

Yes, the Astronaut was my all-time favorite LSU MBB player.
6’9” & could jump out of the building, but also able to handle the ball.
Whether it was his hammer dunks or that sweet jumper from the foul line extended, the Deaf Dome would just erupt after either.

Might have been Art Tolis that lost the moneybag, recall hearing a story but not who was involved.

I recall Coach Abernathy from my time at LSU. Think he was one of Daddy Dale’s ace recruiters.
That 1979/1980/1981 MBB run was so much fun.
ETA: RIP Coach Abernathy & thanks for the memories.

TTU has serious little brother syndrome.
At best the 3rd most followed program in this state & not a national brand in any sense.
Cody Campbell spreading $$$ to try & buy some relevance, but they have no history or championship pedigree.
Sad.

Winds that are regularly shifting in direction & speed due to terrain, changing weather conditions & surrounding structure impacts.
Headwinds turning into crosswinds turning into tailwinds at low & higher speeds.
While average wind speeds hover around 10 mph to 12 mph, Omaha does see occasional high-wind events.

Call Sorsby & find out who he likes.

I think the big ballpark + erratic winds screwed with their heads.
OU certainly isn’t bothered by wind that always blows up there.

Maybe the Jawja stats were inflated by a hitter-friendly ballpark?

So you favor a HS kid over an experienced college player? WTF?

This. Would like to see JJ recruit more 6’-2” & taller, athletic position players along the lines of Jared Jones & Ethan Frye.
Must allow JJ to draw the water from the (portal) well.
It’s a smart move, Tessio was always smarter.
I always thought it would have been Tatallia…
Beyond fans sitting in left field boiling during summertime games, the Rangers claimed they were losing out on free agents that didn’t want to play in that kind of heat.
The Ballpark was a great venue if your seat was in the shade.
ETA: at least the Rangers have women cheerleaders (my preference) & not males like some other Texas orgs…

He’s almost exact same size as Chad Jones. If he’s anything close to that good…look out.
Was on business in Amarillo recently & ran into a couple from Albuquerque that are friends with Dylan Blomker’s family.
They said Dylan is very excited about signing with LSU.
Told them he would be joining a NC program, & they were aware of the 2025 NC team.
The look on their face when I told them that made 8 NCs total, 2nd only to USCs 12, was priceless.
TIFWIW.
