Appearing at a game clad in Big Smith overalls without a t-shirt being worn underneath them.

Why are people so crappy about schools that aren’t their own?
Let it go.
It’s not meant to be anything but a good time, and it has nothing to do with your alma mater.
Why be bummed about other schools’ traditions?
The insecurity some of y’all feel must make for a miserable existence.

Thanks to all who have added to this thread. I’ve learn somethings and went down memory lane on some others even if the way I posed the question was confusing for some.

Not every Game Day, of course, but the Wreck Tech Pajama Parade was always pretty damn fun.

having Mike the Tiger on the field inside Tiger Stadium. Damn tree huggers and animal rights activists ended that long tradition.

look, you may not like it but your ignorance is showing. it was the LSU Vet school that canned Mikes mandantory visits to the Stadium. blaming "others" that you hate is bullshite man. I've many vets in my life and not a damn one of them was a "tree hugger" liberal like you accuse them of.

they, unlike you, have a responsibility to care for an endangered animal and thank goodness they are professionals and not "political ignoramuses" like you.

Some self-reflection is needed here

Satan with big ears and golf shoes was probably missed by some fans after he was replaced by a Disney designed Big Al.

Mem and Alamite were probably missed by some who were around back then.

Sounds like you're the one keeping a diary of the things you "knew" he'd be triggered by.

Don't remember when it was officially banned, but it became a hot topic among snowflakes when I was a student in 04-08. At that time it became increasingly difficult to find a place that sold them. Now I believe they're outright banned, although enforcement may be lax.

I miss when tailgating was run by the fans who loved tailgating. Kids used to play tackle football on parade grounds. Every inch of campus was covered with a mix of blue and white collar folks cooking and drinking all day with college kids allowed to tailgate wherever the hell they wanted. All campus buildings were open to use restrooms. Now you have to rent space on parade grounds, pay for parking, attend concerts at PMAC, walk a mile to use porter potties, bring your kids to fun jumps at Matherine's, and the students can only tailgate in 'permitted' locals. The whole tailgating experience lost a lot of luster. Don't even get me started on the Indian Grounds being roped off....

OM figured out long ago that athletes will overlook anything if they get paid enough.
