While not a Texas or A&M fan, my girl friend at the time was born in Bryan Texas and so I was fascinated with the rivalry. I loved the passion both fanbases have hating the other.

Amazing how we forget about Kelvin Sampson and his time at Indiana and Oklahoma.

Violations: The NCAA investigation found Sampson and his staff made over 100 improper three-way or conference calls to prospects, violating "show-cause" restrictions from his previous tenure at Oklahoma.
The "Lie": A major factor was the finding that Sampson knowingly provided false or misleading information to NCAA and university investigators regarding these calls.
Resignation/Buyout: Facing intense scrutiny and pressure, Sampson resigned on February 22, 2008, agreeing to a $750,000 buyout (partly covered by an anonymous donor) to avoid termination for cause.
Penalties: The NCAA handed down a five-year "show-cause" order, which essentially banned him from college coaching until 2013, forcing him to take NBA assistant positions before rebuilding his career at Houston.

Yet no one ever mentions it when referring to him and his “legacy”.

I did not wait this year till the last minute to buy tickets. I’m off that Friday and my daughter is on spring break so we’re making both days. Who’s all going?

While your are right, this team needed a spark. Between Jay and nick trading whatever the hell they were yelling at each other, yeske told to get in the dugout, there was plenty to get the crowd fired up….. the batflip was the final nail. Need that same intensity at Tennessee and Oxford.

Hell I’m a lsu fan and can see one is not like the other.

Same as if you brutally kill someone. The weapons may be different ( knife, gun, train) the result is still the same.
