Razorback helmet car.

In the video at the 7:23 mark, you can see it come into the field from the north end zone. There was also a mini helmet car that was remote controlled.

That picture can't be from the late 90s because sticks were banned by the '97 season, meaning, at the absolute latest, it's from '96.

Or it could be a slow day and you get on the AP Images database, look up the photographer (Tannen Maury), and realize it's almost certainly from the '94 season at the latest (seemingly published for the first time on 1/1/1995), so that photo at the latest was from 25 seasons ago...

Don't get me wrong. We still do plenty of questionable things, but waving the battle flag around the stadium has been dead for over two decades now

I remember the helmet car, but I don't see it in your video.

Here's an updated version, but yeah, the big and little helmet car used to drive onto the field. They'd sometimes have the little RC helmet car out there during time-outs. That was the time before every single second of every game was programmed for piped-in music or advertisements.

So it was from the mid 90s and flags were still waved in 1996. I remember when Ole Miss fans still openly flew those flags in the stadium but it has been a while for sure.

After the A is formed. He comes onto the field from the north end(left corner) and drives onto the field. There is an Ole Miss pre game video from 1984 on youtube also that shows him driving.

I used to love those two helmets as a kid.

Edit: It is the 7:23 mark in video approx.

Stuff like this should never go away. How big (or small) was the RC version?

Honestly they kind of ruined it for everyone. That’s what separates college from the NFL is enjoying other teams traditions.

Some good old pics of it on the helmet car facebook page.

I was trying to find pics of them together, but cant find any of the RC. It wasn't very big. I just remember as a kid that it was zipping all over the field during timeouts. Mostly around the end zone opposite of where game action was going on.

David Duke was still an elected representative in the state of Louisiana house in the 90s. The 90s were full of fricked up shite all over, not the least of which were Ole Miss giving up some of their more problematic traditions

Getting rid of From Dixie with Love will always be bullshite though

I saw a clip on Facebook the other day of one of the Mikes creeping/preying on visitors at his habitat. Was cool seeing that.

I knew you’d be triggered by this.
I bet you get triggered every single day don’t you.
Do you have a diary that keeps track of the various things that trigger you?

Yep, I remember when they announced they wouldn’t bring him out anymore.. it ruined the pregame festivities immensely. But then again, that’s what liberals do.. ruin everything.
