I will miss pointing to Old Main in Fayetteville at the beginning of games at War Memorial in Little Rock.

When I was at lsu in early '80s you could see those flags throughout the stadium but mostly in pockets. It wasn't like everyone had one. Most people did not.
There was some talk about banning the flags back then, but nothing really changed while I was there.
Were they banned by lsu or did people just quit buying them?

75% of your posts are about you being offended or triggered. You go out of your way to let everyone know you’re triggered. And it’s beyond childish.

Some self-reflection is needed here

Or were you just furthering his point

That’s a dumb response. So you accuse me of being guilty of that which I have accused cnb of..
where have I seen this tactic before:

Look at cnb’s posts. A good bit are him bitching about something offending him. Cnb is that jackass that everyone hopes doesn’t come to thanksgiving because they all know he will ruin everything.

I think its more of an observation rather than accusation...

Wtf are you talking about?
I am pointing out how cnb shits on everything because he/she is triggered by everything. I am acknowledging that I knew he’d be offended. In what way would “self-reflection” be applicable here?

Alright, now you’re just trolling. Have a good day triggered one.

Definitely the panty raids at LSU the week before the Ole Miss game while I was a student there in the late 60s. I happened to have a room on the second floor of the north stadium facing campus security. The tradition which at first was not malicious came to a quick end when students started trying to crash campus security with huge trash cans on fire.

Fun Fact:

Arkansas played Dixie nearly as much as Ole Miss until protests in 1969 before the Shootout shut it down.

The song posted earlier when the band forms the "A" was the hastily-chosen replacement, but I love it.

The three biggest tradition losses in the conference are:

From Dixie With Love
Aggie Bonfire
Mike in the Stadium

-During our fight song, for decades the crowd would say "and to hell with georgia tech" but as the years went on people quit doing that and try to shoehorn whoever we're playign into it. Loses a lot of luster IMO. There's just something kind of embarrassing about a lackluster effort of a few hundred people quietly mumbling "and to hell with U-L-M"

I've always known it to be "& to Hell with 'current game opponent'" because it's seems odd to say GT when they're not the opponent.

I forgot the Aggie bonfire. I know it collapsed and students died but is there no bonfire now or as it was before the collapse?

Thank you. I’m trying to learn old sec traditions as minor as they may be, not political arguments or confederate flag debates. The elephant is awesome. Never knew bama had one. Most bama fans probably didn’t know either.

There is still a Bonfire but it is not school sanctioned. The interest and crowds are starting to grow more. But it will never be the spectacle it once was. Here is a picture of this last year's Bonfire before burn
