I have a wedding this weekend. I understand it is Western Carolina that Auburn plays but there are other good games on. How upset would you be? I'm not too worked up about it but some people are pretty inconsiderate.

Fair or foul?

Those scheduling such events should be drawn and quartered. No questions.

If you have a wedding during football season on a Saturday.... It is your own damn fault if no one shows.

People who know most of their friends/family are big football fans and decide to get married on a Saturday in September, October, or November anyway are inconsiderate assholes.

Would not be upset as long as it is not an SEC or otherwise big game for AU.

Big game for AU, not going. Otherwise no biggie. Hell, AU is the only game I specifically watch some Saturdays if I have other stuff going on, go to the beach, etc.

The ultimate test for a southern woman to put forth.

Ain't gonna lie, they usually win.

I had to be a groomsman during the 2010 Arkansas-Alabama game. 95% of the males in attendance were on their phones watching a stream of the game during the wedding. At the reception everyone went to the bar and watched the rest of the game.

No one wanted to say anything, but no one wanted to be there outside of the families.

Had to go to a wedding Wash St. Weekend. Luckily it was on Sunday so I went to the game and drove to Nashville the same night.

I had mine during OM @LSU, but we played the game at the reception. Our ceremony lasted 7 minutes. It worked out well.

ETA: The husband chose the date because he didn't want to be engaged for a long time.

Imagine the husband....anniversary during football season. Never know what game will be on in the future.

However, I was the Best Man at a wedding during the SEC Championship that UGA played in. The entire family and all the friends were glued to the TV. Bad decision...even if you aren't into football...everyone else in the south is.
