I mean yeah there's no choice but to be here, but overall I just don't see the point in making a move like this if the hope for him is to be another Pittman. That's partially why I was so in favor of just sticking with Petrino. If you can't make the hire that will actually elevate us beyond what we already had, then why bother committing to someone? For all the ire Pittman got last year, he won 14 SEC games in 5 years. Not a shining achievement in most places, but it's the best tenure since Petrino. This just feels like change for the sake of change to try to garner ticket sales.

From the tone of the posts from people who are willing to be supportive of Silverfield, even they would be pleased with simply mirroring Pittman's results. My question is why make a move at all of you're just going to hire a guy to do what the previous guy was already doing? Does anyone actually think Silverfield has a 9-4 SEC season in him?

Encountered another bug. Apparently in RTG sometimes the legacy score requirements for uncapping your max overall will just disappear and you'll be stuck at whatever max you are. I can no longer progress my QB beyond an 80 overall despite having what would be the required legacy score to increase it.

Except all it's doing is putting half of the SEC teams on the same level as the MAC. It's not actually creating separation. It's just weakening the bigger conferences. Auburn and Bowling Green should not be the same overall a year into a career.

I've also confirmed that certain stadium atmosphere audio files are not triggering after some of the latest patches. Yet another bug.

Yeah I'm already diving into mods to fix issues. Thank God this was released on PC.

It's one example, and I've been playing for two days and haven't heard it once. It' s not about hearing it "enough". It's about having 8 hours in the game and still wondering if it's in the game because I haven't heard it at all. Just something I noticed that was in the game in the past that I haven't experienced yet. If you want I can write a post that would take up this entire page with issues I've found so far. It's a buggy mess, especially the menus, and the stink of microtransactions still lingers on RTG and dynasty with how hindered progression is. Getting penalized harder for hitting your receiver in the hands and him dropping it (-15) than you get rewarded for throwing for a first down (+10) is laughable.

He's been a head coach for 6 years. It's not like there's nothing to form an opinion off of. I'm sorry but finishing .500 or worse half of the time in the AAC at a program coming off of 3 conference titles in 6 years under two different coaches without ever winning one himself, despite the longest tenure there, just doesn't scream SEC success story to me. It's never a good thing when fans of the team he's leaving are thanking you for hiring him away.

I'm obviously not saying fire the guy before the ball is ever snapped, but surely it's not hard to see why expectations are what they are both inside and outside of the fanbase. It's not just jaded Arkansas fans. Literally no one expects this to go well.

I've debunked this multiple times already. The same thing would happen in his first stint here. The offense's output last year was almost identical to the 10-11 seasons, including the turnovers. Mallett threw more interceptions in 2010 than Green did last year. The difference was he had defenses that could hold leads. Feel free to look up the box scores from back then and compare how many points teams scored on us in the 2nd half then vs. last year. 33 ppg not winning a single SEC game is not an offensive coordinator issue. Last year's offense was better than the team that went 9-4 in '21. It was our best scoring offense since the Enos/Allen show in 2015.

The fact that we had a worse defense than literally every team but 8 in all of major college football yet y'all stay hell bent on blaming it on Bobby blows my damn mind. The reality of the situation simply doesn't line up with that point of view from both a practical and statistical standpoint.

The only good game the defense had I can recall is LSU. Outside of that game, SEC opponents scored a minimum of 31 points. Surely we aren't calling giving up 38 and 33 to State and Auburn respectively good defensive games?

I still have my copy of 09 sitting in a drawer for this reason. One of my least favorite iterations of the game, but hey, McFadden's on the cover :lol:
