Personally was my favorite series. Was upset when they took it away.
Reading the tea leaves on twitter from accounts who act like they know what they talk about all the time but I don’t really know if they do. Active accounts on Auburn twitter though.
There’s beef between Melendez and Atkins. Some suggesting a fight over a girl. Some suggesting Melendez is a kiss arse to the coaches and ratted on Atkins (presumably because of some beef they have).
They’re basically defending Atkins and saying it’s being spun that Atkins is a locker room cancer when he’s not. They say Hok won’t report on it because he’d get his access to the program taken away. Hok currently going back at them on twitter.
My take from those rumors (complete guessing/no actual info): Melendez is probably drinking the kool aid of the coaching staff (which is a good thing for the program) and trying to hold other guys accountable. Atkins is not the type to buy in like that. Thinks he’s a bigger star than Melendez. So when Melendez’ tries to hold him accountable, it doesn’t go well. He’s a star that doesn’t play by the same rules.

People like Golesh being disappointed. Couldn’t care less.
Coaches are always posturing in press conferences. Whether it’s positive or negative. All of it is a show and isn’t necessarily what they say behind closed doors.
Only thing that truly bothered me from a press conference was Freeze saying how close we were. That was also posturing but I just don’t think he realized why that’s such a terrible mentality that affected the team. He thought that would keep the fanbase at bay…
