Which dog, who punched him and what did he hit his head on? Everyone points the the cell phone evidence to exonerate KR (which again I say she be found NG), then explain the cell phone evidence of a dog biting him, someone punching him, then throwing his phone…all within the minutes of KR leaving the house

What keeps you from ruling out the Karen Read had anything to do with it?
Like I said, she should be found not guilty, therefore innocent in legal eyes.
For me, I’m not convinced she didn’t have a part in it. CW didn’t prove shite, but also, I don’t think the defense proved she didn’t do it (which isn’t their burden)…but proved just that there is clear reasonable doubt.

I mean, he intended to be caught or shot. Dude had a Manifesto and also listed dozens of more politicians/elected officials that were on his list

She should be found not guilty, based on the CW’s BS and the great defense….
I’m still not convinced what happened that night and if she’s “innocent”

The walk through of history and uniform was absolutely outstanding. Watching with my kids, who can now appreciate everything we’ve done to be the country we are today, and what we have done for most other countries around the world. Proud to be an American! USA USA USA

After watching a good chunk of the trial I think Not Guilty.
I think if they come back somewhat quickly, Monday or Tuesday, it will be Not Guilty. However, my bet is a hung jury again.
Despite what we all got to see for a 2nd time, someone will hold out and thing “justice should be served” and vote based on that, despite the clear instruction of “beyond a reasonable doubt”
I’m hopeful they find her not guilty, as the CW never proved all 5 elements beyond a reasonable doubt IMO.
Either way, can’t imagine they try her again with a hung jury…just the huge burden over her head if they don’t will impact her the rest of her life and JOKs family as well.

I was a foreman on a pretty prominent case involving a law firm. I followed the judges orders without a second thought. We did have on lady over the weekend who did lookup the law around the sentencing, which wasn’t allowed back then, but she ended up staying.
There’s only so much you can do, but when you are on the jury, you feel a true responsibility for civic duty and not listening to others or looking stuff up comes into that

ETA: I just heard that Massachusetts law allows the judge to select the foreman. Strange.
Wow. Didn’t know that was a thing. Seems very odd. How many States/Counties in the US do that?
Agree with the other poster, this could have a big influence on the jury.

My guess is that the jury will go back, take some time electing a foreman, read over each of the instructions again to be clear on the wording for charges, take 1 initial vote (assuming it won’t be unanimous either way) then call it for the day.
Tough to get start into deliberations and then leave for the weekend. Let everyone understand the charges in detail, think about it over the weekend and then get into Monday morning

On 3 digit numbers if it starts with an even number it brings you around a city, Example I-610 in Nola goes around the CBD. If it starts with an odd number its goes into or away from the city, example I-110, which leads you away or into Baton Rouge.
Actually, on 3 digital interstates, if it’s even, it will connect back to the main interstate. If it’s odd, it will not connect back to the main interstate

Serious question: in your professional opinion does Boeing have a legitimate serious manufacturing or engineering problem? With all these stories for the first time I actually check which aircraft I’m going to be on and if I can choose an Airbus that’s what I do. Is that warranted at this point? Also, I’m not sure I’d ever get on an Indian airline to begin with
That’s a stupid take. There are around 7 million flights a year with roughly 2-6 accidents per year. Boeing has 3x as many planes out there as Airbus. You are safe on either, especially on a reliable airline. Accidents do happen, whether manufacturing or pilot error, I would say it’s more on the pilot or operator (putting hazardous materials on the plane) than it is the manufacturer. Pick the flight that makes sense for you and don’t worry about the plane. If it’s your time, it’s your time. A plane crash will end it for you better than drowning or getting eating by a shark

I think we already saw quite a bit of that over the last week, which is what pushed this up to above $50. Obviously there is a lot more to come on that front.
A run up to $55 today would be nice for my Friday calls tho lol
