I wonder what his former players thought of him. Often seemed unhinged.

He abused coaches. But, most of the players seem to love him.

Yes, he abused other teams, especially Georgia. If not for him Kirby might have four national titles right now. 2nd and 26 still hurts.

Clearly. Just look at how LSU fans are triggered by the mention of his name

He cursed Muschamp worse than I’ve seen any one cussed at LSU practice one time. Muschamp called a non TE defense and scout team had TE. 10 minute tirade.

Corey Webster, ALL SEC DB under Saban for 3 yrs, was asked at the Senior Bowl after his last season, if he would consider going to Miami where Saban had just been hired. He emphatically said "no fricking way. Three years is all I can take." He added that the players who were NFL quality respected him but could only take his coaching for a limited period of time. The players who were not going into the NFL hated him. A former coach under Saban at the Dolphins said that the nite Saban left for Alabama, after not telling his staff anything, the entire coaching staff had a huge party, they were so glad to see him leave.

It's a fricking Message Board!

100% of the posters on here are "Triggered" enough to express an opinion in every thread.

Isn't that the purpose of a Message Board?

Massa Wife fans in a good mood after that "One great season once every 50 Years" after glow.

Massa following the failed Astroglide & Mechanical plan of trying to purchase a Championship with $$$$$.

. Exhibit A of the pussification of America.

He was upfront and demanded the same effort he put in.

For weak and motivated people, I can see how passion could come across as abuse. Judging by their results, I doubt there were many people on his teams or staff who fit that category though.

I’m shocked to hear an SJW Mizzou fan say this. God forbid anyone hurt your feelings with their mean words.

From what I understand Saban can come across as an a-hole but really he demands excellence from people. No matter how small or unimportant their job may be.

Meteorologist James Spann spoke at a company meeting of ours couple years ago and talked about Saban. Apparently Saban would call him a day or two ahead of a game and want to know what the weather conditions would be by kickoff. He developed his game plan on that information. If the weather didn’t go exactly as he said it would Saban would get pissed off.

He is just one of those people that demands others to do their job to the best of their ability and holds them accountable. It’s not a bad way to be, sure it can make you look like an a-hole but that’s what it takes to be successful. Honestly more people in this country need to hold themselves to those standards, we would be way better off
